I liked the location in a nice neighborhood, and the communication was excellent during the booking process. The house has an open air seating area or inside which was really beautiful. N/A

The staff was very attentive. They even gave me a bus pass, and map with locations of interest. Place was clean and room had most amenities, including hair dryer. Breakfast was delicious every morning. They made me omelets to my taste and fresh bread, coffee, fruit and a different fruit juice every day. It is within walking distance of Kennedy park and the ruins of Huaca Pucllana. The toilet cover was cracked in two places and was very uncomfortable. Such a nice place should fix that immediately.

Good location close to the Malecón. The rooms were spacious and nice, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was filling and the hosts were welcoming.

Staff was very helpful and flexible with check-in and holding our luggage.

The people working at the Lighthouse, Duncan, Saudi, Carlo and the other staff were very friendly and helpful to find our way in Lima. Breakfast was one of the favourite moment at the Lighthouse, well prepared and well served (could have a bit more of different jams..not only strawberry jam (Peru classic)..;-) Walking around just the neighbourhood was fun. There were good coffee shops, laundries and groceries stores. The construction site that is next to the premise...Unfortunate, there is not much city regulation, I guess. Should not be much of a problem for guests who enjoy the city and neighbourhood during the day. Also we can still see birds like humming-birds flying around from the good windows installed in the room that shut out the noise. The room comes with a fan. Some time got a low pressure while taking shower. That's can be avoided by not using it at peak time.

Nothing, alway flawless

The staff was very nice and very flexible with check-in and check-out. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was nice! Also met other very friendly travelers at breakfast. Nice cafes in walking distance. The mattress was very soft. There could have been better instructions on how to find it late in the evening on arrival (from the outside it looks just like a normal residential building).

After booking, the host informed us that payment is collected on-site. They prefer cash (USD, PEN, or EUR), as credit card transactions carry a surcharge. While the host offers a shuttle service, we found that taking an Uber from the airport was a more cost-effective option for reaching the property. We found the check-in process a bit stressful. There was a bit of a back-and-forth regarding luggage storage for our late flight the next day. Despite the amenity (24-hour front desk) being listed online, the host seemed hesitant about the time we would pick up our luggage and repeated the same questions multiple times, which felt a bit unwelcoming. While we eventually reached an agreement, the initial reluctance and the need to renegotiate the following morning felt unnecessary and disrupted our tight schedule. If you have specific needs for luggage storage or late departures, it may be best to confirm these details in writing well in advance to avoid any misunderstandings during your stay. The soap provided is one small, single-use packet for two adults. Bring your own soap, shampoo and conditioner. The place is a family-run bnb than a traditional hostel. The property itself is clean and perfectly situated. While the host did eventually accommodate our needs, the friction during the interaction made us feel a bit uneasy. I do not plan to return to this property.

The owner is just lovely!

Lovely little bed and breakfast in a great location! I loved being able to walk to the beach and watch the sunset on the cliffs. I also loved being able to walk safely into the city and shop around. The staff are all so friendly and personable. Fantastic breakfast! Great experience. The doors aren’t numbered so I accidentally went into the wrong room when coming back in the evening. The locks seemed loose, but the environment was so friendly and safe that I wasn’t worried.

Owner was super helpful even though I was over one hour delayed from arrival, even let me check in and pay in the morning. Was honestly a little nervous when calling and no responde, but was after mid night, called again. Answered, felt so bad to wake someone from their sleep, but super happy to not be in the street looking for a hotel after 17-18 hours travel/flying.

We loved our stay! The staff were so warm and friendly and the location was central to Miraflores.

Very cosy! Feels like staying in someone's house!

The location was easy to get to. The area was walkable and close to many of the more tourist activities and places we wanted to go to. The actual room was clean and comfortable. The owner and workers were both friendly and made sure we had a nice stay, despite it only being for one night! We had an early morning flight as well and a breakfast to-go was packed for us.

I have been staying at the Lighthouse since 2012 and will return as long as I am able. The location is wonderful and the property is quiet and comfortable. I also like supporting a family run business.
