The hotel is ok , to start with the good- the breakfast was good at the hotel, the boxed one as well had to leave early was not so good, basically one banana and cookies and boiled eggs. the staff were friendly and tried to be helpful unfortunately not all are bilingual so communication was difficult. The not so good .. the hotel is not as pretty as the online pictures. It’s dated and needs repairs..the tv would not work, there were three electrical outlets in the room, one is behind the bed blocked by the bed headboard snug to the wall, of the other two , one was loose ! No elevator so a third floor climbing the narrow staircase is uncomfortable and dangerous. The decorations were good, but because the hotel was so tired looking, they did not enhance the look. It was tired looking, the receptionist could not recommend a decent place to get dinner. She sent us to a road side take out joint, perhaps she did not understand what we wanted . No elevator, room space air conditioning and no TV - could not watch the soccer game on.

Good location, clean and comfortable, very friendly staff Nothing for me, but be aware that there is no elevator to carry luggage upstairs.

The staff were extremely helpful. They packed breakfasts for us twice when we were leaving early. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The beach is a block away. There were few restaurants nearby.

Beautifully decorated and cozy hotel near the beach. The breakfast was lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel is very well located, not far from the beach and the Buena Vista cafe which has lovely views and good food & coffee. It was also an easy walk up to Kennedy Park and other attractions in Miraflores. Bed was very comfortable. We ordered a taxi through the hotel to get to the airport thinking it would be safer but the person who arrived wasn't friendly, argued about the price we had been advised, constantly on the phone, watching tv shows while driving. We didn't feel very safe. I would try Uber instead.

Wasipai hotel, was great. The hosts are very kind and helpful. And the location can’t be better. Everything was great.

Cleanliness, staff, breakfast, location

The hotel is in a converted mansion. The lobby and breakfast areas are very nicely decorated and looked exactly like the pictures. Breakfast was the best we have had in all of Peru- made to order avocado with eggs, mixed fruit bowl, etc. Because it is made to order, it takes a little longer to get your breakfast so this may not work for you if you are in a hurry. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We booked a wonderful room with balcony and there were 2 bathrooms. There is a mini fridge and tea kettle in the room. The room was clean and tidy but the floors have not been cleaned in some time. Our socks and feet were black within minutes and I also noticed the bathroom walls looked like they needed a good wash ( I read about this in another guest’s review). We did mention the dirty floor to the receptionist but it didn’t look like it was addressed during our stay- so we kept our shoes on. The location is also a little further north in Milaflores and is a good 30 minutes walk to the main areas. There is no signage for the hotel so make sure you look at the front door pictures to know where you are going. I had to tell the taxi driver where to stop.

Beautiful hotel. Wonderful breakfast made for each individual. The staff, especially the manager, went out of their way to help Guest and ensure their comfort.

Beautiful room. Staff was very helpful and kind. Room smelled like vomit. I explained to staff about the smell and that it seemed like it was close to head of bed. I was told it would be cleaned. They only sprayed some deodorant spray. The bed and side tables had cobwebs and dust underneath them. So clearly they were never cleaned. I wish I would have left. They did give me a discount.

Great safe location, clean, friendly staff and breakfast was included. Our room and bathroom were spacious and we had a balcony, which I loved. I left my medicine in the refrigerator and didn’t realize it until we were on the bus to board the cruise ship. I was on a panic as I had to have the meds. The hotel realized it before we did and they coordinated with cruise officials to deliver the meds to the ship. The port was an hour away from the hotel. I can’t thank the staff enough for going WAY out of their way to make it happen. We enjoyed the hotel and staff before the incident but now we realize how very special this hotel is…..thank you, thank you, thank you! If we return to Lima, we will definitely stay here again! Nothing!

Very nice staff. The room was very cute and we even had a balcony. Too bad we only stayed one night. Around 15 min walk from where we wanted to go to in Miraflores, but luckily we can get an uber very easily.

(Very) Affordable Luxury

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are very helpful and kind and the room and bed were very comfortable. It is also really well located with numerous restaurants in easy walking distance.

Everything was great about this place. But the weather. Can't blame anyone for that! Staff seemed to go out of their way to make it special for us! Only the weather could have made it better.
