Hotel El Plaza Centro de Lima

- [ ] Great location - [ ] We had a patio, loads of natural light - [ ] Big room - [ ] Toilet didn’t flush for hours, we had poo sat in our toilet - [ ] Shower would not drain for hours (water up to ankles - [ ] Services was slow - [ ] Breakfast was below par but maybe that’s typical breakfast in Peru. Bread with jam and butter. There was no milk for the coffee - [ ] One socket in the room - [ ] Close to everything so very noisy due to procession

Location. View on plaza San Martin. Huge bed very comfortable. Breakfast, just bread and butter with coffee, NO fruits, jam, eggs, cheese, nothing else… Shower, hot water early morning then no more.

Location is very good. Price is good. Service of reception very very good. The room we stayed are near the street. So much noise caused us can not fall asleep. But I think if the room not near street will be better

The location The white sheets had yellow stains. I booked the “best” room which did not even have a chair for the desk and the toilet didn’t flush a couple times

Centric, they clean every day, very hot water (you just have to wait a few minutes before getting hot water), they have arrangements with taxis Very noisy on one side during weekends (extremely loud disco music). They gave us other room the next day

All staff was friendly especially girl named Danny

The only positive things about this hotel are - the location of the hotel as it is in one of the main squares in the old town of Lima, beds were comfortable, room had a 'balcony' were you could see the square and the receptionist spoke good English. Photos on booking.com look so much better than in reality, can not understand how it is a 3 star hotel. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights (Fri & Sat) and it was extremely noisy as next to the hotel there is a night club and they played music from 8pm till 6am. It felt like the nightclub was in the room next to us, we barely slept as walls are paper thin and the 'balcony' is just 2 sliding panes of glass with no noise insulation whatsoever. We could hear and feel the vibrations of the sound from everywhere within the hotel, even in the common areas and although we wore ear plugs and switched on white noise we could still hear and feel the music. Everywhere is very noisy in Lima's old town during the night (Peruvians like to party hard) and if you would like a good night rest stay out of the old town. We had another night in Lima and we stayed in Miraflores and we loved the area and the hotel we stayed in.
