Hampton Inn Linden

The air conditioning was broken in our room. We had to ask twice for someone to come and look at it. Someone finally came, looked at it for 2 minutes and said it was broken and left. We asked about changing rooms abd they said they were full. The room was at 77 degrees and climbing. They told my husband to wait in the lobby,

It was a good weekend stay. Stayed there June of last year as well. Will do it again next year. Breakfast was okay. Some things I like and some i didn’t.

Air conditioning is real strong in the lobby during breakfast time. Your food will be cool or cold by the time you make the second bite

The room carpet had a few stains in it, the toilet was clogged. I had to use a plunger after I plunged the toilet. It was fine.

The breakfast was very enjoyable The waste basket had not been emptied We did not know how to operate the television and a non English speaking employee was sent. We finally figured it out ourselves. No one was at front desk when went to checkout and wanted a paper receipt of which I stood there for 10 mins and said forget about it.

Everything was great

Stayed here while visiting New York. Clean room. No issues. Free parking on site. The linden train station is very close.

The staff were friendly. The room was clean Overall not a great experience. Book the room, given a total. Asked to swipe my card when I got there. Later check my account only to find the money taken was $50 higher than I was told. No explanation until I inquired they hold an extra $50 until after check out. Seems odd but… the room was clean. But, the the shower doors would not stay closed. Some had to clean up water every time we showered. The bathroom faucet was so loose that the whole thing would turn instead of turning on. And for a brand new hotel it’s not very soundproof. So we can hear all the traffic and cars racing and peeling out in the streets all night. Then comes the next morning. The power goes out, alarms are going off. They get that all silenced, powers back on. We go to leave… the elevators don’t work. We have to carry all our luggage all the way to the other side of the hotel and then down four flights of stairs. Needless to say we will not be staying there in the future.
