Grand Hotel Arciduca

We were so impressed with the staff both behind the desk and hospitality. We had wonderful dinners by the pool and the service was so attentive. My sister-in-law and I were so very impressed with this hotel and all it offered. ?

Centrally located hotel, clean fairly spacious room, nice pool, great breakfast. Nice strong AC. They even provided a small breakfast before regular hours when we were checking out to make it to an early boat out. The only negative experience was when we asked about the beach to which the hotel provides a shuttle, we were told the umbrellas/chairs were free, but when we got there, we were chraged 30 euros for 2 people (3 hour stay). It was an unpleasant surprise. Wifi is provided through the TV, and comes in and out. You won't be making any work calls with it.

This was our last hotel during a wonderful tour through Sicily. It is a wonderful hotel, we enjoyed it and extended our stay. There are many nearby restaurants and it is well located, all things could be done easily by foot. The property is very well kept, tastefully decorated and clean. Our room was comfortable and adequate in size, with good a/c and wifi. Breakfast had an extensive selection of high quality Sicilian, European and American choices to please everyone. Everything was mouth-watering especially pies, cakes and all fried items. The staff was amazing, shout out to the red haired young woman (unfortunately we didn't ask for her name) nothing was too much trouble. There is nothing not to like about the hotel, we will most definitely be returning and recommending it to friends and family.

Very spacious and exceptionally clean rooms. Photogenic resort style accommodation that also offers a surprisingly decent breakfast. Also quite central and just a short walk away from the town center with plenty of restaurants and cafes. The gym was pretty disappointing but this is common in italian hotels and to be expected. Didn’t tarnish our overall great experience with this accommodation.

The hotel is well located. Close to both the centre and the marina’s harbour, from where all the excursions take from place. The breakfast is very nice and their restaurant is not bad at all. As four stars hotel I was expecting at least a shuttle service to pick you up at your arrival. So keep in mind that you need to pay a taxi which is not really a cheap option. 15 euros for 5 min ride. Also we have to do an early check out 6:30 am so I did request two days in advance an early breakfast (even small) considering that was all payed for. They said no problem and the same morning they offered us hard biscuits and a cake that was old and dry. That was very disappointing , if it was my hotel I would go out for clients especially as 4 stars.

Breakfast was ok and location ok too. Monica at the front desk was very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. She was the best part of our stay. She should be highly valued by this hotel. Location was good but not excellent. The service at breakfast was not very friendly. In fact it felt like we were imposing! The beds and pillows especially were not very comfortable.
