I enjoyed being in that part of the city, it provided the right atmossphere for our journey. The views were spectacular. The staff were excellent. I'm not a heavy breakfast person, I would have liked the option just for a cup of coffee and a small pastry, but that was not available.

Staff professional, friendly, helpful. Room clean simple but elegant, quiet. Large bathroom with tiled tub and glass shower, breakfast amazing. Super free guided two hour neighborhood tour. Location perfect. Maybe have whole milk for coffee?

Location was great and really helpful to have the valet parking option. We loved the style of the hotel and the beds were very comfortable. Terrace with amazing views was also a great bonus! There was construction in the room next to us and the staff didn’t notify us when we arrived which we felt was a bit misleading. The construction started at 8 am so it was disruptive for our stay so a heads up would have been better. The staff offered us free breakfast once we mentioned something, but I think being upfront is appreciated.

The property was beautifully maintained and in a stunning location. I loved everything about it - my room, the terrace, the gym. Nothing!

The terrace was very pretty for having a drink in the evening. The breakfast wasn't quite as good as we had seen at some other hotels and I thought that the beds were a little too firm for my liking.

We felt well taken care of. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and made good recommendations. They made sure we caught trains in the most efficient manner. The hotel was very nice - comfortable and well-decorated. We enjoyed the fado dinner. Not a thing!

Location in Alfama. Staff: very helpful and courteous. Excellent food selection. Nice river view. 1. My room (#6) was damp, musty smelling. 2. Insufficient lighting, ie., lack of overhead lighting for packing luggage on the bed. 3. lack of luggage storage 4. Sink and shower faucet is not user intuitive. Its overly minimalist design is bordering pretentious. 5. Dining facilities lack comfortable dining table. Uncomfortable low on the ground tables. (except communal table)

We loved the hotel's design and the staff were all welcoming and friendly. Our room was beautiful with wonderful views. The only thing to note is that you have to walk out a cobblestone street to get to the main street from the hotel - our airport taxi dropped us off on the main street and we had to struggle with our bags to the main entrance. When we departed, the hotel booked a car that came right to the entrance!
