The Torel Palace is a beautiful hotel. The rooms were fresh and lovely. We had a great little porch with a view off our room that added to the charm. The welcome treats were a nice touch. Love the two pools and having cocktails or a meal with a view, cannot be beat.

Firstly, the staff were amazing! Special thanks to Pedro, Anna and Sisi who made sure this 60th birthday trip of mine felt special . They indulged me with warm , handwritten greetings cards , beautiful balloons, gourmet chocolates, natas ( pastries) and wine - thank you so much!! Our room had character, the bed was super comfy, all amenities were provided. Breakfast (as a vegan) was excellent with a fair selection of delicious, fresh fruits, nuts and seeds, whole-wheat bread, sautéed mushrooms and herbed roasted potatoes, good cappuccinos with a variety of plant milks to chose from. Of course, there was lots more food on the buffet for all those who eat everything plus an eggs menu you could order from. It would have been nice if they could’ve provided at least one option of a vegan pastry ( there are vegan pastries available at various bakeries in Lisbon ) but obviously not essential. The hotel has lovely views of the old city and one can see the river in the distance too. And the surroundings are very quiet and peaceful.

Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, providing full itineraries for Lisboa based on my preferences. The property was beautiful, the food was great, and 2Monkeys was quite unforgettable.

3 People - from the Staff, the receptionist who did the check-in and the restaurant manager and waitress . The view from the restaurant terrace . 1. WARNING !! THIS IS NOT A FIVE STAR PROPERTY a winter hotel 2. The Place is ancient and needs to be freshened up, and is NOT a winter destination hotel. 3. The doors are so small you go in sideways (including room doors) 4. The plants are dead everywhere, including in the reception and bedrooms , it’s depressing ! 5. In order to reach the restaurants and bar, you need to leave your building and walk in the cold and rain through a passageway - it gets dark early - There is zero light and I had to use my phone torch to get across safely back and forth. 6. They are understaffed. 7. Room service trays lying around in hallways and under stairwells. 8. No sheet change for 3 nights 9. Tiny soap bar for 3 days, had to use shampoo to wash my hands. 10. Very dirty fabrics in rooms. 11. You can’t watch tv from your bed as the tv is located in the bar area of the room. 12. Socket protection pannel fell while plugging in charger, creating an electrical current. 13. There is only filtered water available , no bottled flat mineral water available at the property. Bring your own.

Everything was excellent, especially the staff. They were incredibly helpful, attentive, and made the stay feel truly special. The location is ideal for exploring Lisbon, and the panoramic view from the hotel is unforgettable. Nothing—everything exceeded expectations.

The staff Pedro, Lola, Dwelington, Igor, Nicolas, CeCe and all the rest are A+. The staff in the spa and in Black are also exceptional. The feeling is very one of a kind and boutique. I felt very much taken back in time with modern amenities .

Breakfast, view, decoration, spacy room

Staff, views, room were all impeccable!

The view is polluted with cranes for the construction projects in the blocks below. The upstairs room was very noisy, either people were very noisy getting ready to check out at 6 am, or later some maintenance was going on, it disturbed our sleep that night. The room's noise insulation could definitely improve

Staff were friendly and anticipated your every need. The hotel and grounds were stunning. Great views of Lisbon. Good location, 15 walk to the center of town. It was small and felt really luxurious. You could always easily get a bed by the pool. The terrace is beautiful for dining day and night. Toilet in the bedroom did not have a door so no privacy between a couple. The breakfast was a let down. Hot food was stale and not very warm. Cooked eggs were available but only average. Toaster broke on our first day, and was never replaced.
