A lot of noice during the evening and night - you need to have earplugs. The sink was plugged, not much day light in the room.

Well, the room was clean. And quiet. First, it was nearly impossible to find. I was with a Bolt driver, and after a few discussions on my phone between the Bolt driver and the proprietor, he was able to get me close enough to walk the rest of the way. The problem is that ride share drivers are not allowed on this mostly pedestrian street. I had been told that there would be nobody there at reception (on a Monday afternoon), but they told me to call and the proprietor would tell me a code for the outside door, which he did, then the same code for the room door. (Did other guests have the code to MY room?) The outside door led into a sketchy empty dining room and a stack of lockers (restaurant was closed, too), then down a dark, dingy hallway to four rooms. Mine was No. 3. The room was fine except that only two floor-to-ceiling windows separated the room from an outdoor dining area for the restaurant. So, just as well that the restaurant was closed. The good news is that I loved the neighborhood after walking a short distance uphill from this dingy “hotel.”

Great location! The room was incredibly small- barely enough room to open two carry on suitcases. There was black mold in the room. There was no privacy between the bedroom and the bathroom. You couldn’t open the curtains otherwise the restaurant guests would be looking into the bathroom/room. The wifi did not work.

What you don’t see in the photos is that the bathroom and shower area are separated by a wall and window that face the balcony, where people sit and talk in the evenings. This means there’s a lot of noise, and only a curtain separates you from the outside—when it’s open, there’s no privacy at all. Also, it’s important to note that when someone in one of the rooms takes a shower, the humidity builds up quickly and the walls become damp

The breakfast was great and the food in the restaurant was the BEST we enjoyed in Lisbon! Be sure to sit on the terrace under the lemontree and enjoy the view of the narrow streets and the river in the distance. This location is difficult to get to. Not for elderly or mobility impaired. ***Be sure to use the transportation service they recommend. It is right next to "the Elevator" tram. BUT the tram makes no stops.

The place has an amazing location and the staff is incredibly friendly. Breakfast was also very good and nice to have outside on the roof terrace. As there is also a restaurant it can get a little noisy at night. We were fine with it, however it is something to take into consideration.

The neighborhood is quite beautiful, with charming streets and a vibrant atmosphere. Its lively energy adds a nice touch to the experience, even if the accommodation itself fell short. Our experience at this accommodation was disappointing. Upon arrival, we were left waiting at the door for over an hour, with no response from the provided contact methods: phone, WhatsApp, Instagram, or Booking messaging. The room itself had major privacy and comfort issues. A patio door opened directly into a restaurant, where people stayed until well past midnight, creating noise and a lack of privacy. Even more concerning, the shower wall was a transparent window facing the restaurant. While a shower curtain was provided, it felt bizarre and uncomfortable to use a shower with diners sitting just outside. Breakfast was another inconvenience, starting at 8:30 AM, which isn’t practical for travelers with early schedules. Lastly, we woke up to an unexpected issue: the entire room felt damp, and our belongings were noticeably humid. This was strange and unpleasant, especially since we didn’t encounter this problem anywhere else during our trip to Lisbon—and we’re not typically fussy about accommodations, often opting for hostels. Unfortunately, we can’t recommend this place based on our stay.

Location, breakfast and staff soundproofing. if you plan to relax during the day, then forget it. you can hear all the conversations and passers-by. also, when I came to my room at 22:00, the restaurant adjacent to the hotel was filled with people and it was very noisy. I had to fall asleep with headphones on.

I had a wonderful stay at Santa Bica in Lisbon. The location is ideal, nestled in the charming Bica district near the iconic funicular and close to the city center, making it easy to explore the city. The highlight of my experience was the breakfast—it was delicious, freshly prepared, and served on a lovely terrace, adding a special touch to the mornings. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-decorated, and the staff were warm, accommodating, and attentive. I highly recommend Santa Bica for a delightful and convenient stay in Lisbon!

Very central and extremely nice and helpful staff. Very clean. The view from the terrace down to the Bica cable cars. Cute! It's a bit weird that the shower and the clear terrace windows (clear)is located right next to the tables of the restaurant. But the terrace was mostly empty and the shower curtain well place that one felt only slightly explosed. Lisbon is extremely slippery after rain but this has nothing to do with this accommudation. Just be warned.

The breakfast is very good. The location is good. The rooms are like staying in a basement.

The personnel was great and super helpful, especially Luca and the breakfast lady. Also the location was great. Terrace and breakfast was great. The apartment was dark as windows are heading to the restaurant terrace. Hence, you need to hide behind the curtains if you want privacy.
