Location, cleanliness, friendly staff, delicious breakfast - everything was perfect! I liked it all and would stay here again!

Our room (302, superior twin) was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. It was also very quiet, no street noise at all. The breakfast was really tasty and we very much enjoyed the daily afternoon cakes and tea. The staff is very kind and helpful. Location is wonderful, both in terms of great nearby restaurants to choose from and access to public transport. Overall, I would definitely stay here again the next time I come to Lisbon! Given the extreme heat during our visit, I wish the AC was a bit stronger (both in the room and in the rest of the hotel).

From the moment we walked in (the host met us at the door to help with luggage) to the early morning hour we left, we loved this hotel. The two staff we interacted with (David and Pedro I think, could be wrong, it's been a few weeks) were both amazing. Friendly, knowledgable, helpful. I love that they had a bottle of Port on the desk for your "welcome drink". Do yourself a favor and "explore" this hotel, there is a small terrace out back. The best part is the "sitting room"/breakfast room downstairs. First, the breakfasts are amazing. Second, there were sweets and coffee available 24/7 - cake, cookies, fruit - that you could help yourself to at any hour of the day. And bottles of water to take back to your room. The building was formerly a cloth manufacturer and there are antique machines as decorations as well as funky mid-century modern furniture. We would highly recommend this hotel. A wonderful, classy boutique hotel. it was all good

No complaints. Would be nice to have small breakfast buffet menu change some from day to day.

The hotel is close to great restaurants (the most try empanadas in the corner!) and walking distance to everything else! The room was super clear and the breakfast amazing too. Everything was great!

Ian (or Ivan? from Brazil) at the front desk was EXTREMELY kind and helpful. Nothing

The bathroom had a faint urine smell.

It was a great place to stay for a few days with plenty of good breakfast options, clean rooms and very helpful and friendly staff that made our stay better. They accomodated our special requests for my girlfriend's birthday and even gave us something extra. The humidity in the room was very high

Lovely breakfast. Real food; not some packaged items. Good coffee! I felt very cozy in the breakfast/lounge area. Also, loved the location. It's central and close to bars and restaurants but no bars on the same road, so the noise was minimal. Our room had twin beds. My bed happened to have a mattress topper, and it was soft and comfortable. However, the other bed did not have a topper and the mattress was quite firm. We did rock paper scissors to decide who was getting the soft bed. Not sure if this is an inconsistency or intentional.

Difficult location for taxi/ uber
-
Well stairs make it tricky but it is Lisbon and there are hills and stairs everywhere.

Loved this perfect little boutique hotel. Nice rooms, lovely staff and great breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Nothing except Ubers/taxis cannot drive down the street so luggage is hard to manage on the cobblestone streets. Not a deterrent but not for those who aren’t able to manage heavy bags on a very steep street.

The location is perfect. Staff friendly, polite, knowledgeable and helpful. It is sometimes noisy outside at night. Not the hotels fault, but just for your information. That is the only slightly negative aspect of staying here and it didn’t stop me coming back here for this second time.

Very clean. Comfortable, staff accommodating and super helpful. Breakfast excellent Nothing really, just light fittings too low in breakfast room my husband keep hitting his head

Great location, friendly staff! Nice breakfast! No elevator! The rooms were very noisy-in room 205 could hear front desk conversations, the front door open and slam and street noise.

This was a small, charming hotel located a short walk to the tram to take you to the Alfama district (old Lisbon) and the funicular Gloria. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom is bright and looks newly renovated. We found the location perfect for ease to get the city center. There were many places to eat within a short distance from the hotel. We arrived earlier than check in but the staff were very welcoming and we were able to leave our luggage while we explored the area. The room is air conditioned which was welcome relief from the heat. The breakfast was lovely and gave us a great start to our days. The staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to eat, arranging a taxi for our departure etc. This property might be challenging for anyone with mobility problems due to stairs and it’s located on a hill. The room was a little small but quite fine for myself and my husband and our luggage.

The great location to sightsee. Breakfast included Very helpful staff. Beautiful building and great spacious room At breakfast time, there were never enough tables for guests to have their breakfast when they went to the breakfast room. Eating breakfast on a sofa is not excerptible . It’s the only negative point about the whole hotel. My advice get there early so you get a table!

Due to limitation in the negative part, we continue in these area: Over the course of our stay, they contacted us even via WhatsApp, which felt inappropriate and invasive. We were initially offered alternative rooms in one of their other hotels. Surprisingly, those offers were quickly rescinded. The back-and-forth left us feeling disrespected and stressed. The breakfast area was also inappropriate. It was extremely cold due to the airconditioning that it was uncomfortable to eat. One staff member even stood in the breakfast area watching videos on his phone, which was unprofessional and distracting. Moreover, the staff helped themselves to coffee from the guest machine and took food from the buffet, which felt inappropriate. We booked a "large twin room" well in advance, based on photos and description, which promised a spacious room with a large bed, entrance area, sizable bathroom. Upon arrival on Friday evening, we were assigned a different kind of room with a street-facing window and tiny bathroom. Despite having explicitly requested via mail a quiet room more than two months before our arrival, the hotel did not fulfill this request. After discussing the issue with the staff, we were moved to another room. This room was only available for 2 of 3 nights. For the 3rd night, we were told we would need to move to a „suite“. On Saturday eve, we told the staff that we don't wanna move rooms for the 3rd night and wanna stay in our room. The staff member told us that the room we were in was already booked for other guests and that he would check with the hotel manager. Late in the evening, we were shown a "suite". Upon inspecting the so-called „suite", it was clear that this was not a suite at all, but a simple double room located directly next the breakfast area (we compared with pics on booking). This is scam! On Sunday morning, when we wanted to check our option with the reception, no one was there the entire morning, just a lonely sign „reception open from 8-12". We asked for assistance via WhatsApp, unfortunately no one responded. Thanks to the help of the cleaning lady someone showed up at approximately noon. After much negotiation, we were allowed to stay in the same room for the 3rd night, but by this point, the entire experience had already been soured. Adding to our frustration were the numerous maintenance issues in the room: the door had a large gap at the bottom, letting light in and disrupting sleep, mattresses were sagging and uncomfortable, one wardrobe doors was stuck, a bedside lamp was broken, the bathroom was freezing (no heating).
