The staff were most friendly, attentive, and professional. There was a nice touch when they brought a piece of cake and a bottle of champagne on the house for my girlfriend's birthday. This hotel is well past its prime. While it is rated as a five-star establishment, the extremely dated rooms, decor, and facilities make you wonder if the licensing authorities are still living in 1973 when the property first opened. The location is merely okay; while it is a short walk to Avenida da Liberdade, it sits quite far from the main tourist hubs. Our stay was plagued by room and service issues from the very beginning. Upon arrival, we were met by stifling heat due to a broken air conditioning system that ultimately required a reset of the entire hotel’s cooling network. The room itself was small, dark, and lacked a balcony. Furthermore, despite paying for a king-sized bed, we were given a queen, and the bathroom suffered from zero ventilation alongside low water pressure that amounted to a mere trickle. Housekeeping was equally disappointing, as our rooms were not serviced until late in the afternoon – a timeline that is completely unacceptable for a five-star property. To make matters worse, the entire building lost power on our second-to-last night, cutting off the Wi-Fi, the elevators, and our only phone line to guest services. This major outage was never properly acknowledged by the morning checkout staff, who dismissed it as a routine occurrence and offered absolutely no compensation. The hotel's amenities and dining options offered little relief. The G Spa was a massive disappointment, featuring a small pool and jacuzzi alongside an odd policy forcing guests to wear swim caps. We avoided the hotel restaurants entirely due to absurdly overpriced menus, such as a €24 per person breakfast that can easily be beaten in both price and quality for two people at Simpli just up the street. Even the complimentary evening cocktails provided by the bar were terrible. Ultimately, this was a highly disappointing experience that left us wishing we had stayed at the Altis Avenida down the street instead.

The location was great, the room was large & comfortable. Room service food was exceptional. The housekeeping didn’t meet my expectations. It took very long to clean the rooms and the cleaning was not neat enough. The bathroom was very old and could be improved.

Location was great Too dark throughout entire hotel and no options for daily eating ie lunch etc

Exceptional staff and service

Property has lovely amenities, rooms are spacious and comfortable. Buffet breakfast really has something for everyone but what makes this hotel stand out are the staff, they were outstanding ?? A small thing but very few hangars for 2 people and no hooks in the hallway for outwear.
-
Well located in a slightly quieter part of town, very comfortable beds and the staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Comfortable, clean, had good exercise facilities, great service and staff. Loved the welcome gift of Port wine and pastries. Food in bistro was excessively salty.

Everything was great None

views, location, bedding are very nice hair dryer is old and bad quality, TV is extremely small and not a very good quality also

Many of the services that were stated to be included weren't. "Breakfast Included" and "Free Taxi Service to the Airport" were not. They claimed that they never are free although the were highlighted on BOOKING.COM. It maybe that BOOKING.COM is to blame but it was disappointing as those two services were the reason I booked the hotel.

We were very happy with the service we received at Altis. Especially from staff member, Enis Almeida. She was very pleasant and very helpful with giving us information about the nearby beaches and made sure we had everything we needed in our room. We really appreciated her customer service and care. the tv behind the glass/mirror enclosure made it very hard to watch tv comfortably because of the glare. I know aesthetically it looks lovely, but not a good idea.

great indoor heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi. closely to Eduardo park and about 15 min walk from Rossio square. nothing

Very friendly and helpful staff, really appreciated

Beautiful, in the upscale area of the town. Read reviews, and supposed proximity from main action. In my opinion.. by foot far… by Uber.. not far and not too expensive.

Just beautiful!

Location is great. Easy to walk all over Lisbon from hotel. Really liked the staff. They were very helpful. Good selection for breakfast buffet. Set up well organized and lots of attention to details. Did not like that room were not serviced until after 5pm. We were gone most of the day time and they would be stopping by so late.
