There was not much to be liked in this hotel. Maybe I can write that the AC worked well. The neighborhood is very bad. Lots of homeless, drug dealers, and prostitutes. The room was not cleaned nor the new towels provided. The room has a bad and heavy odor no matter how much you air it up.

No chairs to sit, bathroom no shelves that you can put your toothbrush, cosmetic.TV not working you have to open your own Netflix account. No water boiler that you can make your instant coffee or tea.

I liked the safety features like a key to open the front door! The beds were cozy even if they were small, it was a great fit for a few nights! Room was slightly smaller than expected but maybe I just was looking at different photos. It was sometimes hard to get around with the desk so close to the bed. Other than that it was good!

Location is a bit creepy. A lot of strange persons around.

While the location is convenient near city centre, the neighbourhood is rough particularly in the evening. Room was very small and basic. No hand towels or face cloths, glasses, refrigerator, wine opener, etc.

Dangerous district. Very expensive. The price and quality do not match. They promised to register but did not.

It was cheaper than other properties. I asked for extra towels, and was given them every day. Then I noticed that my face towel had my foundation on it - it was just re-folded and put out as if it were fresh. Not cool.

The hotel had been done up recently and was kept beautifully clean by the staff. The two gentlemen I met who were in charge were very friendly and efficient. The hotel has no reception so you have to phone one of the owners to check you in, but this was very easy as they also run a nearby hotel. Everything worked and the bedding and towels were very clean. There were spare pillows in the room as well as a hairdryer if so desired. The hotel is in the Moorish quarter, which allows that culture to be experienced. There were no bars serving alcohol in the very near proximity, which meant that there were no noisy drunken shenanigans outside to disturb your sleep. Obviously a short walk away from this quarter took you to many bars if you wanted (and we did). I liked the fact that the old tram ran just outside below my window from time to time (day only) which added to the Lisbon experience greatly. Oh and there is a working lift, which was very welcome. I suppose the lack of eating facilities was a negative point. A basic breakfast would have been perfect, but the hotel price reflects this. Also, although the electric lock on the front door was very good, there was always a nagging doubt that other guests may have not been so careful in shutting the door. However the room locks themselves were very sturdy and robust, and gave a great sense of security.

Ideally located near all tourist attractions and places I wanted to visit. Most only a short walk away. The staff were friendly and the room was cleaned regularly. Perfect place to stay Lack of kettle tea/coffee making facilities. Single beds were very small, they were comfy in the main but if you rolled over they weren’t. I felt the price was overinflated for the standard of the room.

The hotel doesn't have a manned reception however they kept in touch and ensured someone was there on my arrival to let me in. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is great for stepping out the door and exploring Alfama, and only about 7-8 min walk from main tourist/restaurant area and where tours leave from. Being female traveling alone I was a little concerned about some earlier comments about this area being unsafe however I had no problems. During the day there's plenty of nice locals and tourists about. I tended to get out and about early, and have early dinner so wasn't out on street late. One day someone had gone out and not ensured the street door had closed behind them. This could pose a risk as elevator is open to floors. It may be good to put a sign on door reminding guests to close door properly.
