It was clean, quiet, comfortable, had an elevator. Hard to see from the street but instructions were provided and we were able to find it, location is a little far from Centro for the price but for a private bathroom the overall cost was mostly reasonable.

Nothing is interesting about this hostel. ⚠️ WARNING: I would like to warn other travellers about this hostel before they make a booking. First of all, it is disappointing that I trusted the previous positive reviews because, in my experience, they did not reflect reality. The hostel is located inside an apartment building, and the corridor leading to the rooms has no lighting at all. Walking through it feels like walking through a dark and frightening tunnel, especially at night. There are only two bathrooms for all guests, which is simply inadequate. They are constantly occupied, and you often have to wait a long time, particularly when someone is taking a shower. This becomes very inconvenient if you urgently need to use the toilet. There was no soap provided in the bathroom, which is unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. In addition, the bathroom bins were very old and did not have foot pedals, meaning guests had to lift the lids by hand, which is unhygienic. Ventilation in the rooms was also poor. There was only one wall fan, and if you were assigned a lower bunk bed, the room became extremely hot and uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep or even breathe comfortably. Another safety concern is the balcony door. If the door closes behind you while you are outside, you cannot reopen it from the balcony side and must wait for someone else to let you back in. The biggest issue, however, was the staff. The employees responsible for check-in were extremely rude and showed no understanding of unexpected travel situations. If your flight arrives in the evening and you are delayed at Lisbon Airport due to long passport control queues — something completely outside your control — they may refuse to check you in. This is exactly what happened to me. Despite explaining that I was stuck in passport control and then delayed again by long queues for transport from the airport, the hostel staff refused to accommodate the situation. As a result, I was left without accommodation late at night in an unfam

I booked a stay at Top Hostel Lisbon and, before arriving, I informed the property through the chat that I would arrive at **12:00 a.m. (midnight)**. The host replied that it was fine and that there would be no problem with my late arrival. However, when I arrived at the property at around 12:00 a.m., there was no one there to check me in. I then found a message from the host saying that they had been expecting me at **11:00 p.m.** because reception closed at that time, and since I had not arrived, I would no longer be able to check in. This directly contradicted our previous conversation, where I had clearly stated my arrival time and had been told it was acceptable. After arriving, I sent several messages through the same communication channel but received no response. I also tried calling the property using another person's phone, but my calls were not answered either. As a result, I was left with nowhere to stay and had to spend the entire night outside in the cold, despite having paid for accommodation. I paid approximately €20 for the booking, but I only received a refund of about €4, which I believe is completely unfair. The inability to check in was caused by the property's misunderstanding or mistake regarding my confirmed arrival time, not by any fault of my own. For these reasons, I am requesting a **full refund**. I paid for a safe place to stay overnight, but due to the property's error and lack of communication, I was left stranded outside without accommodation or assistance.

The only problem with this hostel I would say that was the fact that had two individual bathrooms, and this could turn a problem if a group of different people want to use them simultaneously, having to wait in line. Not was my case but I can see it happening

Love coming to stay here, very friendly staff, super quite and clean and great value for money. Love the balcony and the kitchen has everything you need with a supermarket within 3 mins walking up the road. Nothing, it's wonderful, have stayed here many times and will return again the next time I'm in Lisbon. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of but I'm being very picky here, is that the check in is by reservation only, and you can't store your bags so it makes it a little tricky if you arrive early. But again, just being picky.

The hostel only has two bathrooms, so I had to wait in line a bit in the morning. The bunk bed was very shaky.

Amazing staff, clean property in a good location! The fan and the lights in the room weren’t working too well. No issues at this price point, but it got really hot at night for the summer!

The location is great. It's very close to a metro station, so getting around is easy. The facilities are clean, and stylish. There's a very comfortable common area, and the kitchen is very clean, and functional. There's even a nice terrace, for reading or a nap outside. The rooms have big lockers, and the beds have privacy curtains and nice lighting. The bathrooms are kept clean, and the showers are great. It would be nice if there were more bathrooms. There's just two single use bathrooms for the hostel. It's a small hostel, so it's not such a bad thing. Timing is everything.

The staff made this stay absolutely wonderful. There was great communication and service. The beds were comfy and there were kitchen facilities available. This was an excellent value for the money.

Fatima was a great host, sweet and helpful. The room was nice, everything was clean; looked like the photo’s. Nice terras/ kitchen/ living room to share. The matras was soft (for me) and it was quit noisy with traffic (bring earplugs). The price quality is great. Location: far out of town: 38 min walk to the main square/gate. We used uber/bolt a lot. Across the place is a small supermarket and a great coffeebar and down the street there are various breakfast places. The park is beautiful and behind the blocks of houses across the street: 3 min walk: go to the botanical gardens in the park; its gorgeous. Right now there are parties everywhere in lisbon and there is a 2 week international book festival in the park. You can leave your luggage in a shop down the street; 2 min walk (5 euro per bag/ trolley). Beautiful place to stay; enjoy! Obrigada-check out the breakfast places from the foto’s!! 8 min walk; garden balthazar; amazing food As a minor thing; there is nothing to put your shampoo bottles on in the shower, and there could be an extra and bigger bin.

Location was good, their living space and kitchen are great additions!! The bunk beds are quite small and squeaky. There was no fan!!!!! It was 30 degrees outside during the weekend and there was no fan or AC, really too hot in the room. No towels supplied at this stay. There are two bathrooms and they are meh. The lobby as you come into the older apartment building was kind of scary just so dark, no instructions said to turn a light on as you come in.

It was clean and comfortable. Only two bathrooms for entire hostel. The noise from traffic on the side road was unbearable throughout the night

I request a lower bed due to my knee problem when I booked but the staff on duty didn’t even know it. This was the only facility I booked through booking totally ignored my request.
-
Excellent service and close to all attractions, restaurants etc. Fernando was so friendly and helped us with all our questions.

We wanted to stay close to the park and this met that perfectly. We were greeted very kindly and shown to where we could put our bikes, which felt quite safe. The room was the right amount of space for 2 and the bed was comfortable. The shower water pressure was excellent. There is no morning breakfast but there is a kitchenette if you have some food to store. The hostel is located on the first floor -- there are stairs and an elevator. Overall a great hostel.

Clean apartment, nice kitchen, good terrace. Bedroom facing noisy busy smoggy street. The number of toilets is definitely not proportionate to the guest capability. Basically it is first floor apartment whose bedrooms have been filled with bunk beds. Lacking an A/C or any other air circulation system, you end up having to keep the window open at night, on a noisy busy street which brings in smog in the morning. Plus, you are not allowed to stay and use the space any longer after check-out, which is very inconvenient.

One of the nicer hostels I’ve stayed at. The kitchen was amazing and comfortable community room Wish there was more than 2 bathrooms. Sometimes had to wait for toilet
