Hotel looked elegant from the outside and in the reception. Staff were lovely. Room was ok, wouldn’t stay again as bathroom had a big hole in the floor and poorly patched. Obviously been patched for a while as peeling. Mould around the bath. Both room and bathroom looked grimly. Hotel needs a lot of TLC

Friendly helpful staff Grotty, in need of refurb, bathroom awful, photos look good on the site but not realistic. Filthy windows and mirrors To top it off the barman picked up 3 slices of lemon in hand and put it in my drink. He had been smoking o/s front only few minutes earlier. Unhygienic.

Staff very friendly, had a couple of issues with rooms but Jim resolved the issue. First room bathroom had a leak, second room spa bath plug not working, paid extra for spa bath as I have nerve damage to the spine, gives me a great deal of pain relief, and never got to use it for a day,

We really liked the dixie dean Hotel my sons a loved the room the spa bath was lovely although the bathroom floor and sides of sink ect looked like the hadn't been cleaned properly there was power like baby talc on the edges of shelves ect in the bathroom and a couple of hairs on the side of the bath the floor in bathroom definitely needs an update or a big clean apart from this we really enjoyed our stay I was abit disappointed with breakfast was expecting it to be better quality but we did enjoy our stay Breakfast was disappointing

Location Was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The room smelt of cigarettes, the carpets were badly stained, and the bathroom was so dirty that we didn't even want to use it!!! Would never revisit.
