The bar is nice Poor rooms , very small and dated, wasn’t very clean and value for money wasn’t great

The staff were incredibly warm and friendly. The building itself was very historic in look but the facilities were all very modern. The bed and pillows were insanely comfy. The location was perfect. The room was a bit on the small side but it wasn't that big of a deal because ultimately I'm just there to sleep. Water pressure in the shower was a little on the lower side.

fab bar and lounge area. Small but very comfortable room, lovely high ceiling and soft furnishings. So many hotels have slightly tired feel in bedrooms but not here, all immaculate. Staff very friendly and helpful and bar food was good. nothing

Beautifully restored with nice modern touches. Great gym. The air conditioning is weak and centrally-controlled. I did not sleep well due to the warm evenings. Bed was also a bit too soft for me.

The location was perfect for all the attractions including dining. Very quiet & the decor is beautiful.

The staff were very obliging very polite and caring. The room had coffee and tea . The pool was not available for guests unless you paid extra . A deluxe room was small . Very heigh ceilings and windows do not open . Air conditioning needed as the room was quite hot . Our room was quite cluttered with furniture reducing the floor space .

Reception staff were very energetic and welcoming. Treatments in the spa were good. Room was very small and cramped. £50 to go into the "spa" but its not higher a standard than a decent gym like David Lloyd... Bit disappointing, the only benefit I guess what they appeared to limit the numbers to everyone had a lounger. Still not convinced it was value for money, the fact she asked how it was at checkout suggests alot moan about it.

This historic property has been very well retrofitted into a high-end hotel. The staff are extremely well trained and really make you feel welcome. The public spaces are grand and beautifully decorated. Dining and cocktail area just beautiful. We enjoyed a lovely dinner and several cocktails which were well prepared. Our room (237) was very comfortable and good use of space, nicely decorated. Minor issue with waste cans (see below) Two things about the room that were off. First, there was only one small garbage can and it was in the bathroom. Not convenient and while it sounds silly, seemed an oversite . Second, the towel warmer was up so high I couldn't hang my bath towel on it and I'm 5'6". It was placed above the high ledge and could have easily been on the opposite wall. Generally I like to reuse my towel but it went on the floor everyday. This is a fairly new property and just a few tweaks to make it excellent/

Excellent breakfast catering for gluten and dairy free.lp Signage throughout the hotel was sometimes difficult to read from a distance due lack of contrast between lettering and background.
