The staff is so lovely! The location is in a prime area and the place was very clean. Karthik, the hostel manager, is so kind and helpful! Any problems I had, he was able to address them. Love Astor Victoria, I'll be recommending my friends here in the future.

The staff attitude was poor. They were discussing me before I even left earshot Both ladies were very rude. The environment was dirty, bathroom was not clean.

nice location, close to Victoria station, reasonable price, the kitchen has full of utility, wifi is also good, I would definitely stay here again when I have some short trip in London. not much thing from the hostel, only small thing from the people in your shared room. There was one guy in the 4-bed room, who snored very loud haha. I know it's not controllable, but a bit funny at that time. I don't mind that at all and can sleep well :)

    Nothing.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Marked as an under 40s hostel, but there were clearly people there who were over 40 - what's the point of the policy if you're just going to ignore it...?

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Nice staff, excellent location, feels like family

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

    Great staff and clean environment..

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

The cleaning material smell so bad. The room is too dark. There is no AC so the fan is on 24/7 which is too noisy. The establishment smells bad. The kitchen doesn't invite for anything. The toilet is old and one of them doesn't even have water. The shower is bot good either. Mind you I always stay in hostels so I know what to expect

  • Engine customer May 2026

The mattresses were stiff and the pillows flat. No towels for a shower included; they didn't even have paper towels to dry hands in the bathrooms. The place seemed to be falling apart a bit, too. For example, when the front desk person went to open the lounge to look for more pillows (they had no extra), she brought a drill with her to open the door... It didn't work. The whole place felt damp-the air and the floors-and we needed a loud fan in our room to try to keep it cool.

Great place to stay! The location is quite convenient as you have the Victoria Line at 3-4 min walk! The staff was also very helpful recommending me where to go for lunch, etc... they rent you towels and everything you might need, so that is great (specially when you are traveling for a long period) They have a place to store your luggage if you arrived earlier than you check in so that's very convenient. The room was okay, a bit tight but in general good. The biggest problem was that they just had one plug to charge phones. They provided extensions but still wasn't easy to connect your phone. If I can just be a bit picky about it, maybe the area of toilets/showers wasn't the cleanest ever (understandable) but that does NOT mean it was bad at all! The only big point is that they don't have elevator so going all the way up to the 4th floor with a suitcase was a bit tricky. For me it is fine but it can be a problem for somebody with physical difficulties

If it's possible room for ladies and room for men

the staff are super friendly and helpful - met easy-going people and had good chats. The location is great as close to Victoria station and there are lots of shops and supermarkets. Some guests can be very loud especially during the night - one night had a group of guys next to our room chatting and laughing loudly just over midnight

Staff is friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable. Fully equipped kitchens and free coffee/tea. Plenty of bathrooms. Clean. Great location! People complaining about the noise but it’s an old building, so it squeaks (as expected) It’s good but unfortunate timing, the lounge area was under construction. Plenty of space in the kitchen to sit though

Good Location. It was previously informed that there would be a fee for towels. However, for two days, there were no towels available, even paying the fee.
