Very close to Paddington Station. Worked well for our day trips and our final trip to the airport.

The staff was super friendly and the rooms were clean. There is a fantastic restaurant and bar downstairs that gives you a discount for staying in the hotel. It was located near the tram and had lots of shops and restaurants around it. It is an older building and the lift is SUPER small, but it works.

Great location. Wonderful historic property.

Comfort. Nothing

Historic, good location, friendly

Overall, the place had charm. Not the best location in the city. We realize it was the Christmas season, but the staff seemed to be overwhelmed, covering for inadequacy in their system. We were told the restaurant would be open at certain times, even had open hours listed on flyers and door. It was not.

Everything was amazing! The included breakfast is sensational. It was a clean, well-located, comfortable hotel with extremely friendly staff. NOTHING!!!

Wonderful decor, very clean and bonus complimentary refreshments in the mini fridge.

We booked here due to having a poor quality hotel elsewhere and needing to be able to sleep and relax - this hotel did not disappoint... I just wish it had been our first choice! It will most definitely be our first choice upon any return travel to London! The fridge was stocked with FREE variety of beverages, milk, and there was a nice broad selection of tea and coffee, the bed was super comfortable and overall everyone was super nice to us! Honestly, we loved everything about it - nothing to complain about or change

Amazing location, staff is awesome, the rooms are super clean. The bathroom smelled like bleach. A little too much, but I rather smell the cleanliness The pillows are too soft, gave a neck pain

Breakfast and servjce was very satisfactory. Because I am in my 88th year, seating in the restaurant is not of the best for me.

Unique, great location, lovely room and building

The room was HUGE for London - amazing space and great decor. The staff were fantastic and we shared a few laughs. Having the connection to the pub downstairs was great, and the breakfasts were very good. Location right in the square mile was perfect for our adventures Not much at all! Just be aware the staircases can be quite narrow so if you have a few bags be prepared :-) Also, is on the high side price wise, but to be expected given the location.

Good location Clean and comfortable Friendly and helpful staff Quiet Good breakfast choice Reasonably priced when compared to other rooms in London for a Saturday night Bed was a little hard, but that’s personal choice

Staff was wonderful. I think the discerption of the hotel was not clear to me in that there was no lobby or lounge. Also access to the hotel was difficult due to the nature of the building, had I recognized those difficulties I would most likely not booked the room. My wife and I were also on extend travel and carrying 2 large suitcases. it was difficult getting the up to the room and the was not enough space in the room to work with them. Most of the issues were most likely due to me not looking clearly at the advertising material.

Reception Staff is amazing. Friendly and welcoming and it was a pleasure speaking with them every day. It really made a huge difference in our stay. The only disappointing item was the mattress. Very uncomfortable, with deep depressions on both sides (probably old) and you can feel every spring. I woke up with back pain every morning.

The location of The Counting House Hotel at 50 Cornhill in the City of London is great, and since it was an historic banking institution adds to the charm . It was an easy walking distance to the hotel from the Liverpool Train Station, and fairly close for us to walk to some of the sites we were interested in such as the Tower of London and St. Paul's Cathederal. When checking-in to a downtown hotel that is an independent operation, and not an international brand, you never know what to expect, however, when my wife and I stepped off the lift at the Reception Desk we were warmly greeted by two amazing ladies. Earlier that day we had driven from Scotland to Cambridge --first time driving on the left side :(0 !, where we turned in our rental car, then hopped a train to London-Liverpool Station and schlepped our bags to The Counting House. We were exhausted, especially having just finished a two week concert band tour in Germany, so when we saw the smiling, friendly faces of Egle and Lauryn we knew we would be taken care of and we were at "home" for a few days! The room was spotless and everything was perfectly clean--good job housekeepers. We can not say enough about all of the staff we interacted with, both in the hotel and the pub/restaurant. The bartenders were friendly and quick, the young blond lady (didn't get her name) who apparently is the bar and restaurant manager was friendly and efficient, the young lady who is the breakfast attendant each morning was friendly and helpful, and our server, Sydney, in the restaurant upstairs was not only friendly and spot on with her tasks, but her warm and hospitable manner caused my wife and I to return for dinner all three nights! The obvious theme here is Friendly and Efficient Staff. On our last night at The Counting House, we spoke to each staff member, in the hotel and the pub, to tell them good-bye and there was a definite feeling that we would be leaving friends. Everything was great!

Location is good, just a few minutes' walk from Bank Station. Room was comfortable. The staff were very helpful. This isn't really a standard hotel in the traditional sense. There's no lobby, no public toilets, no laundry service.

Breakfast excellent. Staff exceedingly helpful. I found no fault with the hotel.
