Really lovely vibe in this boutique hotel. Very warm welcome when we arrived including a welcome drink. Location is great for exploring Kensington and the walk up to Marble Arch through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park is easy. Nothing we didn’t like. The bedroom was quite small so for any more than a couple of nights, we would prefer a bigger room.

Lovely ambience, design and decor. It was great to be offered a drink of water on arrival as it was a hot day and this was a nice touch, forgotten by many hotels. The staff in the hotel were exceptional, so polite, pleasant and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room although compact was very nicely decorated and the bed was really comfortable. The air conditioning worked really well and this was so necessary given the hot weather outside. No noise came in from outside, considering it is such a busy street. Ate in the bar and had the steak tacos with triple cooked chips which was really very tasty. Location was fabulous, plenty of shops on the High Street with a short walk to the Tube station and bus stops. Having Holland Park across the street was an added bonus too. Altogether a lovely boutique hotel which we would have no hesitation in recommending for a stay. The property was amazing but there were a couple of very small niggles. The hot breakfast was a bit disappointing in that although the dishes containing the hot items sat on hot plates, they had no lids on them to keep the heat in, meaning that the food cooled and was lukewarm if you weren’t arriving for breakfast when they came out from the kitchen. I did complain about this to the staff and they were wonderful, offering to get a freshly cooked breakfast for me if I wanted. A bit more hoovering of the carpet in the room could have been done. A teabag accidentally burst and the tea leaves were on the carpet, this was not cleaned during the stay, however, everything else was very clean.

We had a lovely room, and the breakfast was very good. There was a tea and coffee station in the room, which we really liked. The hotel is in a great location and the staff were really friendly. Dylan is super! We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect.

When choosing the hotel my priorities were: 1) location - The Kensington Hideaway is perfectly located for me: lots of good restaurants and cafes close by: Burger & Lobster just opposite the hotel - with the entrance to the Holland park next to it, Ivy, several Italian restaurants a few minutes away as well as Joe & the Juice, Waitrose supermarket around the corner, M&S a few minutes away, bus stop is there, tube station a few minutes walk, parks like Holland park and Hyde park. 2) the hotel for me should not be dated so I trusted the reviews here and indeed the hotel is quite new and fresh 3) AC and elevator is a must especially during hot summer - in the hotel both worked excellent 4) cleanliness- the housekeepers did great job during my whole stay (10 days). The room was always spotless and neat And all the team - receptionist- were always welcoming. It’s not that important but would be even better if more light in the room

Easily approachable, new, stylish, clean. My room was amazing, a very nice view, comfortable bed, air conditioning… an amazing price performance! It’s a bit crowded at breakfast, looks like all of us decided to get going at around 9, and the staff is still a bit “clumsy” with service and getting the tables set… since the hotel is new and tte staff is young, this will most likely improve and it is definitely not a deal breaker.
