The team were very welcoming - went out of their way to offer any help needed. Greeted the children with biscuits when we arrived in reception - a lovely gesture. Hotel is well situated. Near the Whitechapel tube station. Our room was ideal for the family. The 3 children has a closed off bedroom, giving them their own space but the adults still had a clear view of them . The hotel is also only 10mins away from the famous pub the Blind Beggar. A massive piece of history connected to the notorious Kray Twins - famous gangsters in the East End in the 1960s. People travel a long way to see this famous public house. I will stay here again. The walk from the tube station was very busy with market stalls - a little overwhelming at first.

The location was good and the staff friendly and helpful. No hot water in the mornings and evenings. Windows in the room leading onto a flat roof outside not secure.

Was nice and clean

The staff were absolutely wonderful. Everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, attentive and always ready to help. They really made us feel welcome and were definitely the best part of our stay. The property is quite old and, although it was generally clean, it could definitely use some renovation. The room we were given was smaller than expected and did not really match the room shown in the photos when we booked. For three people, it felt quite cramped. The biggest issue, however, was the heat. There was no air conditioning and, although a fan was provided, the room was extremely hot and uncomfortable. To be fair, we stayed during some exceptionally hot days in August in London, so we understand that this was not really the hotel’s fault and that air conditioning may not usually be necessary. Still, considering the age of the building and how warm the room became, this is something that could definitely be improved. Overall, we had expected a more comfortable and spacious room based on the photos and our booking.

We couldn’t be more happier about the stay. First of all the staff was very kind. The beautiful room was great with a separate room for our children. It was clean and very well kept. The manager allowed to keep our luggage after checkout while we explored the city. N/A
