The location was perfect for us. Staff were friendly and allowed us to drop our bags off prior to room being ready and gave us a key for the room.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Room was spacious and clean, with everything I needed for a 2-night stay. It was nice to have both a window that opens and an A/C unit in the room, although I didn’t test out the latter since it was still pretty cold during my stay. Plenty of desk space, wardrobe space, two lounge chairs, TV, mini-fridge, and electric kettle. For each positive point there was also a negative aspect: Bed was comfortable, but I had to double-up on the pillows. There was a fridge for storing food, but no microwave to re-heat it. Water, tea, and coffee were available, but the kettle looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Shower pressure and temperature were good, but the holder was set at a 90° angle so the water shot out horizontally. All these little things add up, so it’s difficult to recommend this place, even though I’d probably stay here again if I needed to be in the area. They got all the big things right, I just think they need to pay more attention to the details.

Room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Overall great room for the price & staff were very accommodating. Room was so cold & pretty noisy.

Nicely located as the name states (Brick Lane). Value for the money is good. The rooms are slightly worn down and pretty small, and there's no real "hotel vibe", no lounge / common room, it is just a flat renting out rooms. I traveled during winter time, and with one of the rooms it was very hard to get to an acceptable temperature.

I loved that the staff allowed us to store our suitcases when we arrived before check in and let us keep them in their office several hours after we checked out! The outdoor area of the hotel is kind of shady (the street) but once in our room, we felt safe and comfortable

Beware only access is via a steep staircase

clean. with water coffee and reasonably comfortable. quite a lot of noise at night. birds nesting outside the windows i think

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

The location was pretty much the only positive. The window was poorly insulated and had to deal with chilly January air throughout the night. The combination of small sink and large over-the-sink mirror made it very clumsy to get washed

This was a great value for what you got. You have many food options on the street that you are on and it is around the corner from the metro. The room is very spacious and it was on the first floor so you were not directly on the street. Staff were amazing really helpful just note they aren't there 24/7 only available during certain hours. With many bars around it can be noisy at night. It was slightly challenging to locate the entrance but off the Main Street there is a little alley where the door with its name will be at.

The staff was really kind and helpful. They were asking us if we wanted to get our room cleaned and new towels, which was really kind of them. We had a refrigerator in our room which was a kind surprise. The hotel has a great location. The tube station is a minute walk from the hotel and with the lines that go there you can sightsee everything you want.

Very clean and great service! Very popular night life so it was noisy late into the night

Room had a small desk, and an electric kettle and some coffee and tea. Great AC. Great location, too -- right at the start of brick lane, minutes from the Aldgate East station (and Aldgate, and Whitechapel stations), and the Shoreditch neighborhood, so it's a great area to be based overall. Staff was very friendly, and always asked if it was ok to clean the room/change the sheets and towels, and gave me an extra towel when i asked (but, see below, i didn't think i should've had to ask...) Small hotel, so there's no real hallway, and you can hear people buzzing the front desk and/or coming and going from their rooms or talking about whether they forgot the keys etc. There's no real reception area, just a chair in a small hallway. But to be fair, you don't choose this hotel for it's reception. They were very nice, and clean, and that's all that matters. RE: the accomodations, though, they weren't always great. That could also be because i had a small single room - the others looked more spacious. But there was only one pillow, and it was very flimsy. I could've asked for another, but i didn't. They also didn't include any hand towels - just one bath towel. I asked for a hand towel and they gave me something more like a half floormat, but they definitely were interested in helping, the materials just weren't great. Also, the shower was insanely small and uncomfortable, though the water was hot. The door opens inward, and it's tiny and there's no way to bend over, you have to crouch down in place if you drop something. They can't help the size of the shower, but it was the least fun part of the day for sure. And the sink was really tiny.

a bit hidden, the map actually took us to another location, we had to ask around to give us details on how to get to the hotel and narrow stairs
