City Rooms Guest House

I normally stay in hotels HOWEVER I was forced to stay in a shared apartment type of lodging with my wife and two daughters as the going rate for a hotel room in the financial district was about 700 Pounds per room per night. Therefor I made the decision to go low budget. The host was able to get me two rooms side by side in order to accommodate our stay. We were walking distance to The Lucky Cat Restaurant, walked to our reservation, paid $900 dollars for diner, stayed for a brief night, got up in the morning and took our flight back to USA. Nothing.

Really good value for money. My room at the back was super quiet, comfortable, very clean and a really easy check in. For me it was a great location and turns out it was directly opposite the building I was meeting in. Really appreciated the fan.

shared bathroom which meant no privacy and sharing with strangers, people going out at 4am on Saturday morning. the location was good, but the value for money wasnt, I would give accomodation 1 start, I would rather pay more if I knew the standard of the room and shared bathroom

It was very dirty, the bedsheets weren’t changed when we arrived. There was cobwebs everywhere and the floor was dirty too. The bathroom towels were dirty as well.

Firstly, the girl who met me to check me in was very nice, pleasant and didn't charge me a late arrival fee as she was a little late herself. So, I have to be honest that my initial contact with staff was positive. The room was not accurate as per the photos on the website. The room itself was very old, with damaged furniture and generally run down (cracked glass on cupboard and damaged floor). While the room had an ironing board and I was told an iron would be brought the next morning, this never happened despite me telling staff several times I needed one. This was most disappointing - don't tell customers that you will provide them with something if you can't follow through with it. Generally quite disappointing all round and I wouldn't stay here again.

I had a great experience at this property. The place was very clean, well-maintained, and offered full 24/7 support, which made the stay even more comfortable. For central London, the price was surprisingly good. The area felt safe, making it a solid choice for families as well as professionals. Overall, I highly recommend this accommodation. Great location that is within walking distance from Liverpool Street Station, cheap price (after discount) Not the cleanest, bathroom glass slider door broken, shower hard to control, in terms of toiletries only one shampoo was provided

Close to sightseeing points in London Absolutely everything else. Pictures look nothing like actual rooms, situation they were not upfront about needing someone with credit card to put full payment in person on arrival-cannot use card on file when booking/it is not charged (this is ridiculous in my opinion, why have the card on file at all then?). Would not accept my card details via phone. Looks like a place where criminals stay after breaking out of prison in hiding. Blood all over curtains. Towels stained with brown mud and staff was annoyed when we asked for new ones. Pigeon nest directly at window. Would not have booked here had i known this was nothing short of the worst place ive ever stayed.

My host, Rob, was super friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy, and it was located on a quiet street, although it was close to an Underground station. I would absolutely stay here again. Not a big deal at all, but there wasn't actually a washing machine even though the listing said there would be. I still had a great stay!

The location was acceptable to the area we wanted to planned to visit. This was the only positive. The room was not clean at all. The mattress had red, dark brown marks. The other side of the mattress had a hole. The mattress cover did not fit. The shower drain was blocked, and the tiles in the shower were broken. The shower door was filthy.

The room was very clean and had many accommodations for guests.

The rooms had really great space, comfortable beds. The shared kitchen and living room was absolutely amazing. Had everything any household kitchen would have plus places to eat and a sofa and TV. Absolutely loved it here. Will be staying again.

Very Good Location. Near to Station with direct access to Stansted Airport. Quiet environment and neat rooms. Although washroom was shared, but did not face any issues. Good budget accommodation. Nothing

Great location. Nice property manager. Great price for the area. Everything needed updating in the room. Peeling wallpaper, yellowed curtains, holed desk. It’s cheap but no reason not to update every once in a while.

Great location - only 10 minutes walk into Liverpool Street. Place is always clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I have stayed 7 or 8 times now on visits to London. Represents great value for money if you are on a budget.
