I wasn’t at this property. Crown hotels moved my booking to the Cavendish. It was further away from Kings Cross and it was HORRIBLE accommodation. But I continually got messages about my ‘upcoming stay at Mabledon Court’ which was confusing- and felt like a scam I’m 67. It was hot. I asked if there was a lift. The receptionist - a young strong man said, No but it’s only one floor up. Great, thanks. In the room, I had to use the toilet sideways , the bathroom. So cramped The TV wasn’t a Tv, just a screen I had to use my bed as a bed or a suitcase holder - there was no where else I could open it The food and kitchen cleaning staff were courteous. The food was adequate but the chairs and tables didn’t fit the room, so moving around w food/ coffee was difficult. This was all at the Cavendish, where I’d been rebooked by crown hotels.

I have stayed in this hotel many times, yes it is basic as fits the price but the staff are outstanding so friendly and helpful. I am a wheelchair user and forgot to book a downstairs room for my 2 night stay. The staff very kindly moved us to a downstsirs room for our second night once it was free. Hotel price includes a breakfast which again is basic but perfectly adequate. Great location close to Kings Cross station/underground and bus stops where you can catch buses to Oxford Street. The breakfast room is in the basement which does make it a little dark.

Our room location was on the 2nd floor facing the street. It is walking distance from St Pancras International Station. There is food and drink options in this area. The hotel in not on a main road, but there is a pub next door. We had 32 steps to climb (or 48 if going to the kitchen), as the elevator does not work. The free wi-fi also doesn't work. There is no A/C so the window had to be open, with the loud football crowd at the pub next door drinking until very late, then someone was rattling crates bottles at 3 am, but that is not something the hotel can control. The room is very small, compared to the others we stayed in London, and UK. So we could only access our suitcases by putting them on the bed.

We didn't stay at mabledon court we moved to sister hotel Cavendish due to a fire, it was further away but at least an alternative was made at short notice , rooms were warm clean spacious stocked with tea coffee biscuits, towels and wash creams, buffet breakfast continental, simple but well stocked, staff were attentive and kept it freshly topped up At Cavendish, bit further away, 2xsingle beds push together they moved leaving a gap and quilt was too small didn't reach sides once in bed, breakfast room was small and busy continental not beans and bacon as on pictures

It was quite plain to me that the fire in the hotel was an arson attack luckily I survived the attack even though the fire ignited in the basement outside of my ground floor room and eventually spread into the dining room which was located directly underneath my room number G3
