Beware of unexpected and incorrect charges. We booked through Booking.com, but the hotel charged us an unexplained £304 without any prior notification before check-in. We were told it was for one night, yet the full amount was charged again at check-in. It was only after repeatedly raising the issue that they acknowledged the duplicate charge and agreed to refund it. At checkout, they charged another £42 to my card without notification, claiming it was for breakfast—which we had already paid for in full. Again, I had to identify and dispute the charge before they processed a refund. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the payment system is extremely confusing and unreliable. You need to constantly check your card transactions because the hotel may charge you incorrectly and without notifying you.

Lovely room, comfortable stay, staff were very pleasant. Central location for the theatres i was attending and the train station literally opposite. The iron in my room started smoking when I plugged it in. Apart from that the stay was great.

Location is fantastic: tube, rail and coach station literally across the road. Staff: everyone was attentive and nice. Cleanliness: no concerns. AC worked well. Our room faced the station, but it wasn't noisy at all, since there were 4 layers of double-glazing. I'd stay again, but would not have breakfast here. Breakfast: limited options, bread/pastries were not fresh, eggs were dry, waffles were the type you buy frozen. The room was good, but you notice it's time for a renovation (metalwork in the bathroom is rusty, mildew in the shower etc.).
