I did not like absolutely anything except its location There was mold all over the bathroom, which made it smell awful. There was no warm water from time to time

Fantastic location, beautiful building. The room size was decent and the beds were very comfortable. The only downside of a beautiful old building - no air con!

Good location We booked three rooms shouldn’t have been able to be booked they did move us which we appreciated but there was glass all over the floor there and my toddler ended up with cut open feet

Location is great to get to victoria station, metro lines or to walk to central areas too. family room had 2 big beds inside. its a budget hotel in an old building, prices (especially at peak times / in the summer) can really go up, way above the level it is, but if you get the right price, then for the location its brilliant. Note, there is no elevator and narrow stairs, so carrying suitcases etc up to the top is an effort! as an old building also expect less facilities, water pressure is low, bathrooms very very small, no AC etc. Its basic, there are better value options nearby, but its ok.

The location was excellent, only about a 10-minute walk from Victoria Station, making it very convenient for both the Underground and buses. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay (some). Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels were clean, the room had plenty of natural light, a pleasant view, and I appreciated the heated towel rail. The bedroom floor was very dirty. Some power outlets did not work, while others charged devices extremely slowly. Before my arrival, I was incorrectly told that European plugs would not work, so I bought a UK adapter unnecessarily, only to find that my room had a European socket. The luggage storage area felt more like a hotel storage room than a secure luggage room, which did not inspire confidence. The furniture and windows were old and worn. There was no air conditioning, and the fan’s cable was too short to cool the whole room. The shower was difficult to use, the water temperature constantly changed between hot and cold, the shower leaked, and the drain cover kept coming loose.

The location is perfect. Near the train and coach stations. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was small but understandable due to the price. Be aware there is no elevator.

Approx 6 months ago booked a room with balcony which did cost us more than the other rooms. We got there yesterday and they gave us our room key and we went into our room. There's no balcony , so I went back to the desk with my email proof that I booked a balcony room and she said well there's guests staying in there long term so they just moved us into a nasty grotty back room and she said there was no difference in price... It was dark and horrible and it's not what I paid for, there was a difference in price and I paid more for the balcony room. I said to her, why couldn't someone have called me to tell me that the room was changed and she said she was sorry and didn't notice til now. She then said she'd refund me £20... She actually charged me £20. So I went back to the desk and she said, I know I charged you £20 , we've reversed it. I told them I don't want to stay there and I want a full refund, which granted they did... But only because someone else was having difficulties at desk , apparently he booked this date but in November instead so they happily refunded us to give to him . Also, I quickly sat on the bed in there and I sunk into it so much, very cheap mattress, could feel springs. Luckily, was able to book somewhere around the corner which is beautiful for half the price and with air con.

The location. Everything else apart from the location.

This hotel is definitely a budget hotel - very small rooms, no extras, and the bathroom was across the hall from the room - but the rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff was professional and friendly, and the location was perfect. Great value for the money.
