This was my second stay at the Ampersand, and it again exceeded all of my expectations. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and go above and beyond to give exceptional service in a timely fashion. The rooms are neat as a pin and extremely clean, and always tidied nicely by the housekeeping staff. I will always come back to this hotel when staying in London because of these reasons, and the exceptional location--less than one block from the South Kensington tube stations which connects to 3 major lines, including one directly to Heathrow, not to mention proximity to multiple major museums. There really isn't much I can say. I guess I wish there were more varied food options, and that there were ironing boards and irons in the room, as well as bottle openers, I felt like a pest repeatedly requesting items.

Extremely well appointed, the shower was amazing, I felt like a salmon swimming upstream, I've only ever had an equal shower experience once in my lifetime. I think that some of the way the light switches worked would have confused older people. There were no regular lights which is, they were all push button control panels. Additionally, no matter how low I turned the air, the room was always just so so. Even with that, the place was 10 out of 10!

Location, the staff were very helpful (especially the porter who helped with our bags and where to pick up the uber and ensured we had plenty of water on what was a couple of hot days). Carpeted floors in the rooms. We just have a preference for hardwood floors.

Distance to tube. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice touch with complimentary minibar and coffee/tea and milk station. Always nice to have fresh milk in the room. Guy greeting in the lobby was very friendly and helpful. Reception staff could have been friendlier.
