I am happy to report that the staff were kind and very welcoming. And I did report all my concerns to management which I hope have acted on my concerns.

This is an abuse and is misleading and deceptive for customers.

and ice baths aswell as a random basketball court (didn't use). The reputation of the leisure facilities is second to none and the hotel is very traditional in its dark decor with a lot of reflection to its past. The room was very spacious with dated bathroom facilities but still adequate. The area isn't the greatest but that could be said of much of downtown LA but we'd stay here again and travelled as a family of 4 (kids aged 12 & 14). Highly recommend.

Some of the front desk staff were helpful and tried to assist with the situation. The room was extremely small, outdated, and looked very different from the photos online. The furniture and facilities felt old, and even the TV was unusually small. You really do not realize how disappointing the room is until you actually go upstairs and see it in person. I personally did not feel comfortable staying there at all. The refund process was also unnecessarily frustrating. Even after front desk staff told me that a refund would be issued, I was later told it still needed additional manager confirmation, and the process kept being delayed without a clear answer. What made the experience worse was the attitude of one female front desk employee when I called to follow up. Instead of trying to help resolve the issue, she argued that simply going upstairs counted as “checking in,” even though I did not actually stay in the room. Her tone was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily sarcastic. She seemed more focused on finding reasons to push back than on helping a guest solve the problem. Once I explained that the manager had already confirmed the situation, her attitude immediately changed. Some staff members were helpful, but the room itself, the inconsistent communication, the repeated delays, and the attitude of this particular employee made the overall experience extremely disappointing.

Everything was awesome Really nothing.

Close to public transit, best soft poached eggs ever, and Duke's Fish sandwich was wonderful. Pool great for laps, and decor and ambience was excellent. Enjoyed the jazz event on Sunday. Confusing access to women's locker room. Unclear instructions.

The entire staff was incredible. Everyone I came across was so kind and helpful. My room was spacious and comfortable. I booked a self-care day with massage and facial. My massage therapist was wonderful. She made me feel at ease throughout our session. I left feeling energized and relaxed. Afterwards, I throughly enjoyed using the spa facilities. The hot tub, steamroom, sauna, cold plunge , and meditation room were terrific. Everything was clean and well maintained. There were plenty of towels, the showers were nice with great water pressure, plenty of water stations, and the locker room was well stocked. It seemed like it took a long time for my room to be cleaned. After almost five hours at the spa, I returned to my room and the attendant was still there. I sat waiting in the hallway for them to finish. I needed the duvet on my bed changed. It was not.
