Lovina Loca

Cute. Novelty. Friendly staff I booked then found out the price was for a 10+ hostel dorm. Fortunately they had other rooms. But the aircon all night noisy and I did get any sleep. The breakfast was pretty lousy, a few cheap pieces of white bread, small bowl of fruit and a coffee. I would call it breakfast.

The rooms are quite cozy, little dark, bathroom nicely decorated with the stones on the ground, looking clean and with very nice shampoo smell. The aircon in the room works good and we had a cute terace. The restaurant itself is pleasant, they offer kombucha as well. Lovina Loca offers also trips and events although it is really overpriced. The pool looks great, with clean water (not tried) and outdoor environment is very nicely decorated with lots of plants. The atmosphere was strange and overall not comfortable. Within a minute after our arrival we were already informed about the packages they offer and we had the same feeling as other tourists that they just try to sell additional services. The dolphin view for 30 USD/pax while you can easily find for 19 USD/pax. Also we were asked if we can pay immediately because they need to buy electricity?! We had a small poo (maybe gecko, not an issue) on the pillow and we saw a cockroach in the bathroom. In the morning we came for a breakfast at 9 am, waiting for 10 minutes but no one showed up so we went out to grab some food. When coming back at 10 the lady was back and already serving the food to other guests. If there is a breakfast service, we would expect to have someone ready for those few hours in the mornings. Already first day we had a feeling not to stay 5 nights because of an awkward atmosphere and booked other place to join our friends. We did not feel the usual Balinese calmness, peace and welcoming atmosphere. This was our sixth accomodation but unfortunately the poorest one. We booked few months ahead but since then the Booking rating went down. Maybe we were also influenced by other comments recently read but we wanted to give the accomodation a chance and make our own conclusion. We would recommend to the family to read the Booking reviews and act appropriately or hire someone with professional attitude in hospitality services. It is unusual to see many same negative comments with no improvement.

The place was cute and the pool felt clean. Free tea and coffee is good. Do not expect anything advertised. There is no free massage on arrival, you will not get the room that you booked and breakfast is only a bowl of fruit. Have to pay for water refill even though tea and coffee is free. I booked 2 nights in a 4 bed dorm - this does not exist there is only one dorm and it is 6 beds - I had to move room as the first night I was put in a twin room which another girl thought she had to herself, you have to pay for 2 people if you want a twin room to be private. The dorm has no aircon and gaps in the walls so need to sleep with a sleep mask on and under a mosquito net, which I was not expecting for the price (there is a b&b nearby where I could have had a private room for less but I thought this would be more social - it was not, I had the dorm to myself on the second night). Also the dorm bathroom is open air and a window on the house next door looks directly on to this which made me very uncomfortable in the shower. Also do not book anything with the hostel as the prices are way higher here for example the dolphin trip they said 250k for 2 hours but this is 100k at a travel agent.

This does not have a parking lot, so if you use a motorcycle it is easier to go.

The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. I got nice breakfast every morning and could rent a scooter cheap. The accommodation is very clean. Highly recommend this place!

Our host was wonderful and offered many great tips that made our trip a lot more enjoyable. It's a short walk away from the beach and it's very calm and pleasant.

Great place, lovely welcoming family, and staff. Extremely accommodating. The restaurant, views, and food were amazing and super affordable! They helped us with renting a moped for 70K for the day and with transport to the port and tickets to Gili Air.

The rooms are really nice! The woman working there is really rude. She is annoyed with everything you ask here. The rest of the staff is very friendly on the other hand.

Nice decor in the hostel and it was cool having single beds for the dorm instead of bunks. Close walking distance to the shops and beach No social atmosphere and there is no air conditioning in the dorms. The beds in the dorms had no curtains on some sides by the entry to the dorm and the toilets which was kind of weird and lacked privacy. There is a sign saying you need to pay for filtered water.

Beautifully designed, room cleaned every day! They have many food and drinks on offer including kombucha they have in a barrel, it’s delicious! Merry the owner is awesome she’s so lovely and very helpful, always around for a chat as well. The pool is cool and clean. We had a private double and it was amazing with a beautiful bathroom and a balcony. Really awesome place!! Wifi didn’t work in the rooms just the bar and pool but wasn’t very fast there either, but not the end of the world. Pool could do with some more seats around it so more guests can chill there xx

Really nice rooms and the hole place was artfully designed. This place has a lot of good ideas in terms of decoration. We didn't like the spirit of the people working there. They were really business oriented and tried to sell a lot of activities and expensive taxi rides. Another really big downside is the breakfast. The worst breakfast i had in hole Indonesia by far. So don't take the included breakfast it's not worth it.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful, good vibes, the room was big and clean, the balcony was lovely and the area great Wifi was a little bit slow. I am not a fan of people cleaning my room while I stay in it, but thats a personal thing. Some people might even prefer it...
