Avani+ Luang Prabang Hotel

I stayed at the property before and it is definitely my go to place in Luang Prabang. Location, grounds, and property are serene and easy for walking everywhere. Nothing!

Breakfast was excellent, staff all friendly, welcoming, did a great job. Location, one of main reasons we chose the hotel, was excellent, Literally beside the 'night market' with great food options and very short walk to riverside. Room attractive, comfortable and clean. Would stay again. Spa prices too high, in line with hotel groups pricing rather than local alternative options. Sun beds, beside the pool, have to be continually moved if you wish to lie in the sun, possibly an issue to do with time of year, December, but think tree growth would always create that issue. pool cold at that time of year but refreshing once you got in!

Great location, less than a minute to night walking street. Still, environment is quiet. You can call buggy everywhere in the city. Great staffs ; 5 stars service. Good choices of breakfast too There was a small incident where my parents room smelled like paint when we first checked in. So the staffs upgraded both of the rooms for us. So that was a great gesture. Apart from that, all is great.

It looks nicely decorated. Staff pleasant. The receception tried to charge me double for the room wasting my time arguing with them. The rooms are very small. No milk or coffee mate in the rooms. The food in the restaurant I.e wagu steak was horrible on 2 consecutive days. The breakfast is below average with very little choice. It's very expensive compared to other 5 star hotels.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool area. Great breakfast! Better pool drinks etc service. No full length mirror in room. Hair-dryer heavy and cumbersome and had to use over the sink at mirror.

This is a relatively new hotel and everything is well thought out and comfortable. The room was big and bright. The pool is enormous with plenty of seating around it. The location is very convenient for the town as it’s right on the doorstep. Breakfast was fabulous. The staff are helpful and polite. It has a great gym but unfortunately we didn’t have the time to use it. We loved everything about the property and would stay again. The tours and pick up/drop off to the airport/station are expensive.

Superb

The hotel is very centrally located yet serene inside and the room was well laid out with a nice balcony view to the hills. The staff were very friendly and kind - particular thanks to James (x2), Amber, Mone and Yang who were all very helpful making sure our stay was comfortable. They organised trips for us to the caves and waterfall as well as providing a complimentary buggy service to restaurants. The Mekong Sunset Cruise led by Asri was an absolute highlight and a must do. Last but not least, the breakfast quality and service was outstanding. It was quite expensive compared to the properties we stayed in Vietnam and Cambodia, but this is may be driven by Laos/Luang Prabang pricing for premium properties.

Large spacious hotel in central location. The night market is a step away from the hotel but you would never guess as the hotel retains a private and quiet air. There is a central courtyard which contains the pool area, flanked by reception and the restaurant on two sides and the rooms on the other two sides. Breakfast is varied and starts early which is convenient if you have an early tour. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Please use their sunset tour service. It was perfect and worth every cent. I would recommend you have a good camera on hand to take some fantastic sunset scenes. The rooms look on to the pool side. Privacy is maintained with exterior wooden shutters but some curtains would be helpful during the day to let light in and maintain privacy. To be fair, the windows are protected by individual patios.

The location was excellent, rooms modern, beautiful design, pool incredible, gardens well kept!! But best of all, take the sunset dinner cruise with Avani boats, fantastic experience !!! It could have more options for restaurants , an the windows lack privacy, maybe a curtain will do!

Good location in the center of the city, Very beautiful and well decorate hotel, Excellent service, free bicycle and free transportation in the city.

Location was great, and we loved biking around the town on the bikes provided by the hotel. It was also easy to walk from the hotel as well. The food was mostly outstanding, the staff very friendly with excellent English. We loved the architecture and layout of the hotel, and the pool was amazing. The hotel allows day guests to use the pool. We were unlucky on one day with a group of four who were loud and a bit rowdy.

Property is located in the center of the downtown. The room was specious and full of facilities inside. There was a bicycle rental service. Foods were very tasty. And staffs are friendly and kind. The bidet shower quite strongly splashed.

The location is excellent, with the river front, shops, night market and restaurants all within a few minutes walk. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms comfortable and breakfast was table service and high quality. The swimming pool was a welcome option in the afternoon Very expensive! There was little wrong with the hotel, but would expect to pay a third of the price in Thailand or other SEA countries - let alone Lao - if you get the right price, it's a great place to stay..

Perfect hotel for Luang Prabang! A haven of peace in the middle of the city! The staff are very attentive and always there to smile at you or suggest things to do. The rooms are comfortable, the pool is outstanding, the spa high-quality, the food excellent, and the location perfect. So don't hesitate to book here! The boat trip on the Mekong with the hotel was amazing, you must do it! The rooms are not soundproofed at all, which is a real problem for sleeping. The shower in our room did not work. The breakfast buffet is a bit light and covered with flies, so not great.
