Downtown Hostel

It’s near the city centre. They have an open space outside and they provide a decent breakfast. They charge security money for everything and they do not sound very polite and do not seem very interested in welcoming the guests.

I had a great experience at this hostel. I stayed in a four-bed shared room, which was quite comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff members were very friendly and supportive.

The room was nice had air con and fans with access to locker. Location was also good. The staff are not welcoming. They sit behind a glass window/booth making for a strange experience. The rate that they gave when to pay was different than that of booking.com we paid an extra £2 so be aware. The worst thing is that they have a plastic sheet on the mattress that makes for a very uncomfortable and noisy sleep.

good location. it's not a party hostel, you go here if you want peace and quiet. There's nice privacy with the curtains in the bed. there's a small breakfast you can choose, i.e. fried eggs, scrambled eggs, noodle soup.. one of the staff was kinda rude and not so helpful, the guy however was very nice and also helped with shuttle to Nong Khiaw. there's book exchange also. I didn't like the bathroom situation and I left early because of it. there's cubicles that's are wet showers, you cannot really change in there. it's mixed sexes and then the staff walks by all the time as it's open. and then there's a security camera pointed straight at the showers, I'm not sure why you need to film inside the bathroom..

Good sized social area, free drinking water, generally modern shower had very little pressure nor warm water, room was very small, no room to move around and next to bathroom, so a bit noisy. hard to get up to the top bunk.

Location is perfect & value for money

Good location. Okay breakfast. Motorbike rental. Very calm for an hostel, maybe not the best place to meet people (or maybe it was just bad timing on my side). The lady in the reception overcharged because she didn’t calculate well the exchange from to KIP to Laos, maybe honest mistake and when we said something they gave us the money back

Pleasant

The place is nice and clean, good location, close to night market and the river but not in a busy area. Staff are very nice and helpful, giving advices on the place to visit and help with booking transportation to every where with low additional fee. The fans are quite lound but it also has AC so later at night the fan can be switched off and be quiet some.

I stayed here many nights and I’m glad I chose here. The no curfew for the aircon is great and staff were able to help me with fresh towels and a bed change halfway through. In a good location too. Free breakfast and water is great. A little fan in the beds is a nice touch and the locker spaces are very spacious. The keycard was slightly annoying as needing to carry it around whenever you leave the room meant everything had turned off when you returned even if you were going to the toilet or washing your hands. Sometimes the bathroom wasn’t in a great condition but I think some of the new guests were responsible for this using it to wash their shoes. Also the toilets were occasionally out of service due to blockage, when I brought this to staff attention they took note however.

Bed was comfortable, AC was strong and hostel was very nice overall. Included breakfast was very good! Bathroom was cramped and shower didn't drain properly.

Value for money. Quality is much much better than what I expect from the price. All staff are very nice, helpful. Nothing. All are good.

Great location, near night market and walkable to everything in town. Helpful staff to book tours and good laundry. Breakfast was great. Water filter. Window faced a wall so lack of natural light. When booking a tour it did not include the ticket into the tourist attraction, it just included the transport there. This is not how it was advertised so just double check what you get within the tours you book.
