Excellent location and friendly staff. Food was delicious. Rooms very snug . The bathroom was a wet room which meant the floor remained wet for sometime after a shower.
-
Lots of stairs to one of the rooms. However that room was spectacular.

Some of the staff members could have been a bit friendlier

We checked in with Katie who greeted us with the warmth of a family member. She showed us to our room which was much better than the one I booked and explained everything we needed to know about staying at the Lifeboat Inn. Later that evening we met her again as she was the bartender at the hotel restaurant. The food was great and we spent two hours there conversing with another couple who had a couple of cute Bulldogs. The entire staff was helpful and friendly and made our stay exceptional. The next morning we could really appreciate the beautiful water view over bay at St. Ives. Thank you Katie for making our stay unforgettable! One other thing, we had a car and there isn’t any parking at the hotel. You have to park at a remote sight off property but it’s about a 5-10 minute walk to the hotel. Might want to bring a smaller bag.

Amazing location - on the sea front in Lyme Regis. Room was very comfortable, well sound proofed (a bit of street noise but it's a quiet town in the evenings). Staff were hard working, friendly and easy going. Very helpful. Parking in Lyme Regis is a bit of a lottery, we were there in October and lucky a couple of times. The hotel building is a limitation but they are doing their best.

Everything! Great location and friendly staff. From arrival to departure, we felt welcomed and appreciated. The room was cozy and nicely appointed. The restaurant and bar offered good food and beautiful views of the harbor. I would highly recommend this lovely Inn by the sea.

Exceptional location on Lyme Regis’ busy waterfront, with nice views. Very difficult to park — best bet is to get to small short-term lot next to hotel just before 3pm check-in and buy maximum three hour period to 6pm + benefit from free overnight parking to 8am.

Quirkyness of the property. Bed was comfortable, pillows great. Tea/Coffee facilities good. Friendly staff. Room size small. Shower grouting could do with the mould cleaning off.

Breakfast was excellent - great choice and cooked to order, alongside continental. Water was not hot for the shower on the last day, which was a pity.

Right by beach and town Can be a bit noisy early morning with traffic. Breakfast variable quality and quantity.

A lovely comfortable night with a marvellous sunrise out of our window the next morning. The staff and room were fantastic. The only thing that could be improved was the gluten and dairy free choices for breakfast. the staff were accommodating at making something from all the different options.

We booked a Cosy Double room, which was described accurately as being small - this managed our expectations so thank you for the honest description. The bed was ample for 2 people and the room didn't feel claustrophobic, (but it was tight moving around the bed and we both kept walking into the edge of wall-mounted TV). Lovely breakfast included in the price. The best location on the sea-front. The en-suite shower room was a wet room. The water didn't run away to the drain fully, so the bathroom floor was left very wet. It would help if a squeegee was provided so one could move the water towards the drain after use.
