The staff at the property were amazing, but I could not get over the extreme mold/mildew smell in the first room that they had me in, and the still moldy/mildewy smell in the second room but not as bad. If they resolve that issue, it would be a great experience.

Decent location. Room had a fishy smell that wouldn't go away.

Decent value for travelers. A little barren and small, feels tiny.

Crap.. cold.. ⛔️⛔️⛔️ Don’t stay here…. The General Manager is irresponsive, invasive and don’t care. The clerk Shawn never mentioned to my wife that the pool was supposedly closed while taking our credit card payment. My wife was only told the lie after she asked before exiting the building about the pool & the front clerk practically lied to us that the pool was closed because of inspection! When we went out that night the night clerk said Shawn didn’t know what she was talking about and the pool was filled with people. My Son has autism and they can only imagine but probably don’t care what it was like to calm him down along with another 11 year old about not being able to get in the pool but seeing others in it. We paid an extra $25 to check in earlier to add insult to the injury. A properly trained worker would tell you what amenities are not working up first and then let you make a decision before payment. The night clerk was confused when we asked her but didn’t reassure much so we still didn’t want to take a chance and the pool really have problems and sticking to what Shawn said. The next morning Shawn stated no one should have been in the pool but after speaking to someone she realized that she was wrong and then proceeded to try and cover her tracks by offering points in which we declined along with a late stay in which we didn’t accept and left exactly the time that we was supposed to by 11 am because of a scheduled engagement. She ruined our experience by being incorrect and she also showed my wife the phone conversations in which her and staff was discussing how they have to work on their miscommunication! They admitted they don’t communicate well but don’t realize how it affects the customer experience! Shawn was nonchalant and told me to shout her out on the reviews so here you go. You are unprofessional and your job will see you for who you are soon. And star is a Gate keeper for the GM who is clueless and don’t care about customers… Book some where else.

O K When I checked in there computer was down. Took longer than I wanted to get checked in. I was extremely tired from my drive. No compensation.

The hotel was in a good location for restaurants and Kroger's. The bed kept squeaking every time my husband moved in the bed. I didn't like not having a coffeemaker or ice buckets in the room.
-
Room had paint chipping around the shower .we asked for two more towel and got a hassle because we were taking shower that night and next day and e needed more towels.Food was stale and had no flavor and all cereal was stalesnd had fun y taste to it

It was nice and cozy the room just had a weird smell but other then that the room did everything it needed too.

Avid seems to be a knock off of Hilton Tru. The bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bare floors in Hilton Tru are always clean, not so the floors at Avid Macon. They were sticky. The advertised Smart TV was off line, something I mentioned at check out. Hilton Tru offers a better breakfast. The coffee was good. The staff were courteous. Parking was good. I felt safe, which was is the most important thing.
