Excellent location, clean

This place is perfect if you need a solid, budget-friendly spot for a couple of days in Madrid. The location is amazing, the staff are super friendly, and the rooms are actually clean and spacious enough to feel comfortable. Madrid prices can get crazy, but this place is a total steal for what you get. Definitely recommend it.

Perfect for location and value. Hostess was courteous and helped. Overall good We arrived 1130. I informed in advance and I was told they would try and at least leave luggage. No one was there at hostal and we couldn’t get in until 12pm. That’s annoying. Even phone call didn’t reach any human being. So beware that you can’t come in early. Only after 12pm.

The location of the hostal is unbeatable.

The lady taking care of the house was friendly, despite the language barrier. Rooms were clean, room size was adequate. Had the necessary amenities for a short stay. A small kettle and some coffee would have been nice. I feel that the price did not match the overall quality of the stay, but then again in Madrid accommodation is quite expensive, and this was one of the cheapest private rooms I could find.

Location. Single room. Cleanliness. Price. Met basic needs for me. Not easy to locate when close but persistence and not being shy about asking for help from people in the area goes a long way. Helps to have good Spanish skills.

This location was excellent, right in the midst of the old town area! You have to find a small door that has the hotel name on it and then go up to the third level for this hotel. The people were very kind and friendly. It was a small room but was clean and the location made it worth it!

Great location, walking distance to everything. Space in the room to walk around and not feel claustrophobic. Comfortable bed. Desk to work at. Wardrobe to put your clothes. Mini fridge to keep some cold drinks or food. Small balcony with good, noise canceling door, as the area is very central and there are people walking and talking loud until late. Persianas for complete darkness even in the middle of the day. Air conditioning. Electrical kettle for some tea or coffee. The old furniture. No soap in the bathroom, only a 30ml body/hair gel. Construction happening right outside the balcony so there’s no way to keep the door open for some air. They start working at 8:00 until evening. The people sitting in the reception area were talking a lot and quite loud and you could hear everything.

A very helpful and friendly lady signed us in and showed us to our room. We had twin beds, a decent bathroom, and a kettle, with sachets of coffee powder and tea bags, as well as a couple of cakes which we never got round to eating! The Hostal was very close to Sol, and yet the area was quite quiet. We only had a courtyard view, which wasn''t ideal, but as we didn't spend huge amount of time there, it really didn't matter! I would definitely be happy to stay there again on my next visit! I'd prefer a street view, but other than that, I have no reason to dislike anything about this lovely little Hostal. Í90⁰p9⁰

Excellent budget friendly hostal. Very clean, comfortable beds and pillows, great location and friendly staff. We have no complaints.

They have a little fridge in the room, which is really nice. Be prepared for noise at deep night.
