location Despite getting confirmation that we had parking through booking.com there was no parking when we arrived available which made parking really difficult in central Madrid, and the staff were not helpful or at all emapthetic to the mistake made.

Location is great. Right on the main street and near a station of bus line 001 (which is free and gets to Prado museum, Retiro park and Atocha train station - for Toledo). There is a taxi station just outside the hotel. walking distance (~20 min) from the Royal Palace, plaza mayor and La-latina neighborhood. The air-condition was good. Receptionists were nice. Communication with the hotel via booking messages was quick and the room was clean. The price was good (100 Euro per night without breakfast). The room (211) was on the small side but for us it was OK. Note: other same-type rooms ("x2y") are bigger and with a better layout. The window half opened to the main street so there was some noise until half past midnight (garbage collection). There was an issue with the bathroom door which could not open quietly. Also there were very bright automatic lights when someone enters the bathroom. It was not fixed even after we complained. The reading lights were very bright. so there was no soft light for getting ready to sleep.

Location is great. right on the Gran Via and near 001 bus stop (free bus, all days from 7am to 1am every 10-20 min ). Walking distance to the royal palace, plaza Mayor and even to La-latina neighborhood. Breakfast was nice - a lot of variety for the salty section, fresh orange juice and fruit selection. However, the sweats section was not as good. They took yesterday's pastries and toasted it ... (never saw that in any other hotel) beds were comfortable. Dim light in the bathroom. We got a room (324) with a good layout and a window to an internal court (we asked for a quiet room) BUT with a strong smell of a new paint. We asked for a replacement and got room 424. This room has a good layout but NO windows (fake room windows ). we accepted this as we were told this is the only available room. There was an issue of bathroom venting. The amenities were little and were not restocked every day (for example shower cup). Too strong night lights.

Just the location and nothing else This hotel is terrible. I booked it because I saw such a high rating on booking.com The staff are extremely rude. Almost none of the staff speak English. It’s an international hotel at least have some English speaking staff or maybe they were acting as if they don’t understand English because even when I used the translator app they acted as if they didn’t understand. The hotel staff are not helpful at all It’s a 4 star hotel and they give you no amenities other than soap and a 2 in 1 combined shampoo and body wash. The toilet flush doesn’t flush properly. You have to wait for the rank to fill up 2 whole times to flush your toilet properly The air conditioning is terrible for the hot weather in Madrid. Fixtures were falling off the bathroom wall in the washroom All in all it was a terrible experience. I will never book this hotel again or recommend it to anyone. I’m so upset. 1200 dollars and what a bad experience
