Beautiful building, cost and comfortable rooms, great location walking distance from Jonker Street. Friendly and helpful staff too. Breakfast was over-subscribed and a little chaotic. The only disappointing part of the stay. There was nowhere to sit. The coffee machine put on a front, chugged, gurgled and took its sweet time to dispense, and when it made its mind up, it gave you half a cup of a very small cup of coffee as the queue to coffee extended behind you.

The location was convenient for exploring the area by foot. The service in the hotel was very good and friendly. 1. The traffic jam was bad. 2. Weather was 32C but felt like 42C!

Breakfast is reasonable good, is not 5 star but edible. Mostly Malaysian food plus Western. Location is super just a walking distance to famous Jongker Walk. Sound proof need to be upgraded.

This was a beautiful, luxury feeling boutique style hotel that took care in every detail. Some of the hotels I stayed in during my travels in SE Asia felt like they were shiny on the surface, but missed the mark however, this hotel was immaculate, and it really felt like a five star experience with all of the attention to detail. I also loved the outdoor movie in the evening and the proximity to all of the sites was perfect.. We had a room with a balcony and while the balcony was beautiful, it was located at the back of the hotel without a view. This is just a small complaint and did not take away from our stay.

Breakfast was great. Overall, it was a great stay. The location is also perfect as there were plenty of choices for food and bars. There is a heritage museum nearby which was very interesting. Some guests at breakfast did not behave well as in they were rather intrusive and in one instance, double-dipped at a food station which was disgusting.

We had a wonderful stay at The Baba House Melaka. The room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable, making it easy for us to rest between our meals and shopping trips. Because of the hot weather, we found ourselves returning to the hotel several times a day, and it was always such a pleasant place to come back to. The staff members were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We truly appreciated their warm hospitality and hard work. The welcome drinks were a lovely touch. We also enjoyed the daily snacks, soda, bottled water, and especially the evening snacks that were delivered to our room. The lobby was cosy and comfortable and we were very thankful for the early check-in after our long coach ride. The location is fantastic — close to all the main attractions, cafes, and shopping areas, yet quiet enough for a restful stay. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would like to sincerely thank all the staff for their dedication and hospitality. The only downsides for us were the weak network connection in the hotel and the breakfast food safety concern. Some items, such as the siew mai and congee, were served cold, which was quite disappointing.

THE TOILET DOOR IS A PROBLEM. It is hard to open. Bottles kept in the fridge doesn't stay, It keeps rolling out.

I love this hotel, this was my third stay! The building is beautiful and I like the attention to detail in the finish. The room was small but very clean and comfortable and I really like the toiletries provided. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The roof terrace with the sunbeds is lovely but the pool bar is not open, it would be lovely to sit up there with a beer or cup of tea.

The location was excellent for exploring the old town, Jonker street and the river walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the sunning pools on the roof were very nice. There is a nice cocktail bar called Arkib next to hotel gym.
