Our room was great- with a balcony looking toward the ocean where we could sit and read or just enjoy the view. There was a kitchen on the balcony allowing guests to buy food from the markets and prepare their own meals. Breakfast was served at 9 AM each day and was far biger than we expected. Dishes of fresh fruit and coffee followed by an egg dish. The guests shared a large table and could chat as desired. A good start for the day! And the owner, Roberto, would join us daily for a chat over breakfast and could answer any questions we might have. He described his history as a musician and the collection of artwork in the house. He has lots of stories! 9 AM breakfast was a bit late-otherwise great

I liked the well equipped kitchen. Roberto, the owner, was very friendly and fun to be around. I had large veranda with a kitchen and an hammock.

We were able to park in their garage. Dogs are allowed. It’s very basic and rough. No sign, entrance not clearly marked, door to room didn’t latch, lighting was poor, no hot water in bathroom sink (meaning, only the cold line was connected). Breakfast was molletes that weren’t very good. Photos and video show the place much better than it actually is.

Up the hill, a bit out of the way, nice view and a great host. Facilities are definitely past their prime, but every shortcoming was redeemed having great philosophical conversations with the host over a lovely breakfast. Roberto is such a happy person, fun to hang out with. Also really appreciated being able to check in early and his help in organizing airport transportation. Cleanliness, facilities in need of renovation.

A delightful place to stay. We had a king suite, which was spacious with a huge bed and beautiful hillside view. The bathroom was also excellent, with a rainwater shower and piping-hot water. Air-con worked fine; wifi reception was weak in the room itself, but strong just outside on the balcony. Roberto is a great host with an artistic and musical background; it's often his home recordings that will serenade you while you dig into your breakfast (included), featuring some of the most succulent fruit on the planet. The location is on a hill at the end of a cobblestoned street, a few minutes' walk from the main avenue and its bus services. Returning, only the final 100 metres or so is steep, but those with mobility issues will want to take a cab. We were glad for the location in peaceful surroundings, away from the built-up and slightly frantic commercial area of Manzanillo.
