An amazing hotel that makes you want to come back again and again! The location is perfect, right on the beachfront with its own sunbeds and a beautiful beach. There is never any problem finding a sunbed. The staff are always happy to help you find the best spot, set up your umbrella, and they do it all with a smile. The beach restaurant also deserves a special mention. The food is delicious, and the sea view makes every lunch or dinner even more enjoyable. What impressed me the most was the service. I honestly can’t remember staying at another hotel where the staff were so friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. From the reception team to the beach staff, everyone goes out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They are always ready to help, recommend the best table, and make sure everything is perfect. I would especially like to mention the lovely lady who prepares the fresh fruit every morning. She always greets guests with a warm smile, asks how we are doing, and wishes everyone a wonderful day. It is these little gestures that create such a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast is outstanding. There is an incredible selection of food including fresh salmon, champagne, premium jamón, a wide variety of cheeses, fresh pastries, desserts, and an impressive selection of fresh fruit and berries. Everything is fresh, delicious, and of excellent quality. The variety of fruit and berries was particularly impressive. The rooms are modern, spacious, and very comfortable, with excellent soundproofing. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, and it is clear that great attention has been paid to every detail. It is also a lovely touch that the staff leave small sweet treats as complimentary gifts. These thoughtful gestures make you feel truly welcome. I would also highly recommend the Kena rooftop restaurant. The food is excellent, the service is wonderful, and the panoramic views over the sea are absolutely breathtaking.

Everything! The room was immaculate and well furnished. The pool and pool deck was fantastic. The hotel is particularly about where guests can smoke. Very comfortable bed. The buffet breakfadt must of had 100 items plus made to order eggs, waffles and crepes. I liked everything!

    Lovely facility Expensive

We were underwhelmed by the overall resort for the price. Additionally, our children were served alcoholic pina coladas at dinner.

We stayed at El Fuerte Marbella as two couples, booking two partial sea-view rooms. Overall, it is a high-quality 5* hotel that gets many of the fundamentals very right, but with a few inconsistencies that prevent it from being perfect. The check-in process was easily the smoothest and most professional I’ve ever experienced in a 5* hotel - efficient, welcoming, and well-organized. The hotel facilities are excellent throughout, with a particularly enjoyable heated pool area. Despite it being a busy holiday weekend, poolside “reservation” of sunbeds with towels was actively and continuously managed by staff, which meant we could always find available loungers within minutes. This was handled far better than in most comparable resorts. Cleanliness was consistently excellent across the property. Staff were, in general, outstanding - housekeeping, concierge, and pool staff were all friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. The mattresses and pillow selection were also a highlight, making for very comfortable sleep. A nice additional touch was the dedicated dog area, which is well thought out for pet owners. The checkout experience felt underwhelming compared to arrival, with noticeably less engagement from the reception staff. Other than that, everything felt solid, but I will just mention some very minor areas that could be improved to reach a 10/10 in my eyes. A few very minor technical issues arose during the stay: a hairdryer in one room was not working properly (though it was replaced quickly once reported), and the air conditioning in both rooms appeared to stop functioning for a short time during one of the nights. One room also had some “smart toilet” features that were not operational, although we did not report this at the time as we really didn't use them -- but I am sure staff would find a solution quickly if we did. Breakfast was somewhat disappointing for a hotel of this level, particularly the limited dessert selection and overall variety, which could be improved. Room location is also worth noting: some partial sea-view rooms are set further back than expected, so guests seeking a more open sea view may want to specifically request frontal sea-view rooms. Finally, while pet-friendliness is appreciated, dog amenities were not provided in advance and had to be requested, and the additional €70 per night dog fee feels relatively high.

The staff, their attitude “the customer first”. A little bit noise from outside during the night so we had to sleep with closed windows ( when there is good temperature outside we like to breathe fresh air from the see, we do not like air-condition, only in extreme conditions). I would appreciate heated pool and its longer opening time.

We came with our two older daughters and loved the location close to the beach and the old town with its many shops and restaurants. Even though one is so close to everything, due to its location above the beachside promenade, you can retreat to the terrace and pool area and still see the ocean without being amongst the crowds. The breakfast buffet had everything you could wish for and the food was fresh and delicious. Also, the staff was always so friendly and helpful - whether at the reception, the concierge, or the cleaning or breakfast staff. A special thank you to Fernando who took good care of us at breakfast and the lady cutting the fresh fruit who always greeted us when we stopped at her station. Finally, the beds and pillows were really comfortable, so we slept incredibly well. It would have been helpful to have a price list in the room for the items in the mini-bar.

Super clean, nice rooms, amazing staff in the reception, I have never seen as polite and helpful as the staff of this hotel reception The breakfast could've been better, very limited choice. Staff in breakfast buffet not as hospital as the staff in the reception

Great breakfast with plenty of choices, amazing staff, and very clean modern rooms. The design of the hotel is great too, it gives a very good vibe. The beach club is also nice The surrounding beach area can get very busy in the evenings.

You get pampered in every way possible and at all times. Wonderful experience and great stay overall! Nothing.

We had a wonderful stay at El Fuerte Marbella. Our junior suite faced the sea and the view was absolutely fantastic — waking up to the sound of the waves was unforgettable ?. The staff were friendly and kind, and a special thanks goes to Laura from the Guest Experience team for her excellent service and warm attitude. Overall, we were happy with everything, though prices are on the higher side. Service can be a bit slow at times — we waited around 15–20 minutes for coffees at breakfast and for the valet to bring our luggage. Still, a beautiful hotel in a perfect location — we’d love to come back!

The hotel is immaculate, and the staff was superb. Really enjoyed the lounge filled with relaxing areas with snacks and drinks, an unexpected highlight. And the breakfast was beyond impressive. I was overwhelmed by the options and variety. An absolute must experience Honestly, I couldn't find anything disappointing much less complain about. The steam room was not fully functional during my stay but hardly an inconvenience

    We enjoyed it.

The selection of fruits, cereals and their toppings (seeds, nuts, etc.), the gluten free breads, the selection of teas and coffee, the location of the breakfast buffet, the table setting.. all was really beautiful and accommodating thank you. Just for safety, for the pan used to cook the eggs in, the person cooking the eggs may have used butter, cheese and/or pork.. there are many orders for eggs, of which we completely understand. Just for those of us with allergies and cultural obligations, if we may request a different pan to be used please. We saw two pans, and one spatula used for both pans.

Very clean and knowledgeable staff. Can be a little busy but that’s a sign of a popular place.
