    Amazing architecture

If you’re a fan of modern architecture its a must see. Le corbusier is the gather of todays building design. The property was not well maintained and protected. Its a design classic some retro furnishings can be expected but condition is not good. Also staff is not very welcoming. Area is not safe during nights. I saw people making prostitution at the autopark when I get back from city center late at night. Also the rooms you’ll stay is so tiny that you feel that you’re in a boat or a bad designed dormitory.

The history of the building with an excellent view from the roof top. The shower is hard to use due to slippery floor. The handrail helps a little bit.

It’s an iconic place, different from other hotels Nothing

The hotel is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the architecturally significant Unite d'Habitation. Come stay in this hotel if you want to experience what it is like to have major access to this incredible work of architecture. The rooms are austere but stylish. Since the building is 80 years old, a lot of the original materials are aged and suffering from deferred maintenance. But this was easy to overlook, since it was just so cool to be getting to stay here! The Le Corbusier Restaurant and Bar on the 3rd floor was a bonus. We grabbed a Kir Royale in a champagne flute and took the elevator up to the rooftop As hotel guests we were allowed to walk around the whole area all alone while sipping and watching the sun set. Unforgettable, for sure. Again, you don't stay here if you want a super cushy, 5-star hotel experience. You stay here to get the experience which was amazing. That said, it would have been nice if the door to the bathroom was closeable which wouldn't have taken away from the historic authenticity of the architecture. The door totally didn't fit in its frame.

Not a room in a real appartment since the hotelroom was on the 4th floor (which is originally offices floor).

I think you stay here for a reason - the property is not unlike what would be government housing in the UK. For those interested in the history it is dream, for those uninterested or unable to understand a nightmare.

The architecture was fascinating. Beautiful views of the city.

Some of the ladies yelling to each other and to the cleaning personnel. Creating uncontrollable atmosphere.

A real privilege for an architecture enthusiast to stay in this historic building! There are only a small amount of rooms that make up the hotel section. It felt quite exclusive staying across from real residents. I enjoyed exploring the building and paid for breakfast to spend time in the dining area.

Incredible groundbreaking architecture-amazing to be able to spend two nights there, eat in the superb restaurant, visit the specialist art and furniture shops in the building, and the botanic gardens, museum of decorative arts and beach nearby. Very friendly, knowledgable, and helpful staff- thank you!

Really interesting building and interesting experience to stay there. Nice to have the balcony space. Room was very small but well thought out

The building is absolutely stunning, to stay in such a location was very special and I'm absolutely glad I booked to stay here. The architect's dream. Staff were friendly on check-in and everything was smooth and easy. Parking is available for our rented car. The room was small but comfortable and the balcony had a lovely view. The real attraction to staying here is that you become 'a resident' of the building, with access to parts of the roof not open to the public, and access at times the public are not permitted. We were able to explore and engage with the building on our own and that was a very special experience. Even in October we found our small room to be quite hot and stuffy, especially at night. The air conditioning fans were located right above the bed which made it unpleasant to leave on constantly throughout the night. This meant we would be woken through the night feeling too hot, turn on the AC for 15 mins to cool the room before switching back off. We stayed for three nights and experienced broken sleep on all three nights. A small price to pay.

The historic architectural nature of the place. We chose the Museum Room, which might explain some of the many compromises in amenity. Le Corb wasn't into luxury... Hotel staff were friendly if a little overworked. Building concierges the reverse: not friendly + doing apparently zilch. I've stayed previously + didn't recall it being such a compromise in comfort terms. Principally the bathroom, toilet + kitchen areas were small to unworkable. Nor was there any attempt to offset these heritage preservation of the design with simple measures like some bottled water, glasses - not plastic cups like a 1950s motel - or bathroom cosmetic amenities etc. No mini bar. 1 tiny basin in bathroom only big enough for 1, no mirrors apart from over that basin. Rude +unhelpful men on the concierge/security desk at building entry didn't help the 2 times we asked for assistance getting taxis.. We knew place was not in heart of Marseille but all more reason staff should be wiling to help. Final straw was the over 30 something bites my husband came away with after our 2 nights there: and they weren't in places mosquitoes could get at !? 10 days later he's still applying the calming ointment...

    Very good

The issue here is not the quality of the facilities but the chance to sleep in a World Heritage site.

A hotel that’s challenges you to think about the possibilities for living collectively in a high density urban context.
