the artistic style and curation of the host. the room is beautiful, with high ceilings and fascinating art installations. it's often not possible to return to the accommodation before 7:30 pm.

Should not be classified as a hotel

Warm and friendly atmosphere Check in at 19:00 without flexibility is not okay

Beautiful room. It really destroyed my trip as I was trapped in the airbnb? Was not allowed to go outside after 22.00 but also not allowed to be there in the day untill 20.00. Was not provided with a key. I had to cancel all my plans basically as it was too late to book something else. Not ok. Not even allowed to use the bathtub. Would not book this again.

On the positive notes: -the hostess was friendly and even waited for us until we arrived at 1:00 in our first night (our plane landed at 23:30) -the location is central and close to the train station, which was a plus for us -the apartment was decently clean, especially considering the lot of animals present There are several points that can be a deal breaker for you: - this is an old lady's house with multiple rooms that are rented separately (you cannot lock your room) - no room has separate toilets. The toilets are shared between multiple rooms (each room has its own shower though) - you do not have a key for the apartment, so you cannot exit the building and come back without the hostess opening the door for you - the checkout starts at 19.30 and if you stay multiple nights, YOU CANNOT ENTER YOUR ROOM DURING THE DAY (11.00-19.30), since the hostess is usually not in Marseille during the day. This was the worst thing for us, since we went hiking and wanted to take a shower, but found out this was not possible until 19.30 - the entire apartment is a mini-zoo. When we were there, there was 1 dog, 1 cat and 1 parrot roaming around. The dog was extremely hyperreactive and was always barking when he saw you and coming to you to smell you. I got scared the first time, since I thought it was going to attack, but got used to it later on. This may be a deal breaker for people afraid of dogs or with animal allergies (the presence of animals is not specified anywhere) - the breakfast consisted of tea/cofee, toasted bread, butter, 2 jars of jam (shared between everyone), yogurt, fruit and chocolate waffles. A bit too sweet for my taste, but it was ok. . If all of the above conditions look ok to you, go ahead and make a reservation (especially since the price is lower than most Marseille accomodations). But please make an informed decision. We would have liked fo know all of those things before we got there for our 2-day stay.

Loved the old napoleon architecture of the flat and the interior design makes it even more special! and the beds are super comfy! Djamila is a wonderful and kind host and prepared a tasty breakfast in the morning. would definitely come back. :)

Location was great, convenient. Djami was a warm and kind host and gave us good information and recommendations. She was very understanding about letting us in after hours since I had an unusual schedule. It was inconvenient not being able to check in before 19:30 and not being able to access our room during the day. I don’t believe that “shared bathroom” was clear during booking. We understood there was a room with a bathroom (meaning toilet). We had a shower & sink, toilet was shared.

Beautiful elegant rooms and stylish furnishings. Warm and generous hostess who shared various culinary secrets with me and pretended that my French is better than it is. Only one toilet between rooms but it wasn’t huge problem
-
Stylishly decorated house, with a warm welcome from the owner. She gives you tips for the neighbourhood and is always ready for a chat. You get to know dog, the cats and the parrot. The property is beautifully decorated with beautiful designer pieces. The bed is immensely comfortable. Breakfast was included, which is a big plus. She made us fresh waffles. There was a beautiful bath but we couldn’t use it.

Good location, host was nice and helpful, friendly pets, comfortable room Toilet was outside the room, shared with other guests No access before 7.30pm

we felt at home!

Decent continental style breakfast. Landlady had a large Alsatian dog which would intimidate some people though it was friendly. Late check in of 7.30pm was an extreme hindrance to us and weren’t allowed to drop off cases earlier than this either.
