Very peaceful setting and hosts were very helpful

The house itself is a lovely 19th century villa with a beautiful Asian-style garden. The couple managing the property were very kind. The location was good for us because it was near the event we were attending but is not convenient to the city center. Unfortunately the visit was hampered by extremely thin walls with very noisy neighbors who made noise until quite late (taking showers at 2am when we could hear every turn of the faucet). The disadvantage of an old house is that the insulation is not up to modern standards. Also, the breakfast was rather limited, just bread, butter, jam, and industrial croissants and some industrial cheese, no fresh fruit, yogurt, or other healthy options. They gave us apples after the first day but it would be good to have a more healthy selection.

The property has a beautiful garden in pool area He stayed at the facility for a week. They did not change the sheets or tell us the entire time. It would be nice to have fresh towels and sheets every three days or so also, it was a simple breakfast of croissant bread and yogurt. I would suggest adding some fruit or cheese just to have some variety.

The pool and garden were beautiful and well-maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The owners were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. The property was conveniently located close to both the beach and a local supermarket, which made everything easily accessible. The property was located a fair distance from the city centre, so having a car or relying on taxis was necessary to get around comfortably. Additionally, the sofa wasn’t particularly comfortable for relaxing, which was a bit of a drawback.

Josiane and Jean Claude were friendly and helpful to assist us in bringing our luggage up to 2nd floor and apartment. The B&B is beautifully decorated. The apartment has a private patio and kitchenette. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast of pastries, baguettes, yogurt, cheese, juice, and coffee. We relaxed in the backyard's tropical and beautiful garden, enjoyed the water fountain and refreshing pool. We had a short walk to nearby restaurants, Vival grocery store, bakery, and the Pointe Rouge beach. It was easy to ride local bus to city center and Notre Dame de La Garde. We met very nice guests from the Netherlands and Switzerland. We felt safe and secure. We couldn't get into the apartment at 3 pm due to a delay in cleaning it. Josiane apologized and let us use the pool area. There were mosquitos and ants near pool, we bought some spray at Vival, which worked well.

The villa was very clean, staff extremely friendly and accomodating. Great breakfast! The garden and pool are lovely. Would stay again! :) Nothing to comment.

I had a small apartment while visiting friends who live next door. Very clean, pretty, and welcoming hosts.

Exceptional

The hotel and property look like something out of a movie set! The owners are very charming and were very accommodating. The breakfast was delicious - we had fresh croissants and pain au chocolate every morning in the conservatory overlooking the lush green garden and pool! The room was spotless and the linen smelled so fresh! We slept very well and didn't hear any noise. The internet was fast and the shower was hot. One of my top 3 booking stays so far. -

Lovely host and hostess who clearly have great care and pride in their lovely 200+ year old establishment. The garden was beautiful, even in winter time. Classic French breakfast was substantial and delicious. No complaints.

Villa Valflor is a lovely building with comfortable rooms and gracious hosts. We traveled to Marseille in the off-season (February) so we could don't take advantage of the lovely garden, terrace, and pool, but it would be nice return to enjoy these. Mme and Mr Bages prepare delicious coffee and a lovely breakfast of bread, croissants, fruit - yoghurt is also available - served in the sun room looking out into the garden where bird-of-paradise plants bloomed. Our room was spacious, warm, comfortably furnished and it and its ensuite bathroom were immaculately clean.

The hosts were so nice. Very warm, welcoming and accommodating. Traditional French decor throughout and the garden was beautiful, even in January. Fabulous continental breakfast was just what we needed. Great location for us. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. And so easy to get an Uber to take you in to the old port. Public transport an easy option also. Can’t wait to return later in the year. Nothing to not like

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful place, and I can't recommend it enough! The owners are some of the nicest, most helpful people I’ve ever met, always going out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The location was perfect, with easy access to the water, beautiful trails, and public transportation, making it ideal for exploring the area. The breakfast each morning was lovely and really started the day off right. The area felt incredibly safe, and the natural beauty surrounding the property added to the peaceful atmosphere. I’m already looking forward to my next stay!

Everything else was perfect and we would gladly recommend this place. The mattress of the bed has seen better days
