Trulli del Carmine

If you are looking for a traditional old Trulli house experience, this is your place to book. In addition to 3 holiday units (all of them in traditional old stone houses) you will find here an amazing, well maintained garden and a really nice swimming pool area. The hosts are super friendly, providing many useful tips about the surrounding area. Your breakfasts will be delicious and filling and your room will be cleaned every day. The location is perfect for a "base camp" if you want to see Apulia with it's picturesque jewel-towns like Martina Franca, Locorotondo or Alberobello. You have to keep in mind that trulli stone houses have very thick walls, meaning there is no wifi inside (only outside). The tennis court is out of order I think (looks old and not maintained), this can be misleading in the booking.com description.

The rooms are very clean with local creative, charming artefacts in a very peaceful natural setting. The pool was surprisingly large enough to do short lap swims. There were no negatives however if you are not used to driving in Italy, time your dinner so that you can arrive before dark because roads are narrow and lined with the stone walled trullis common to the local landscape.

The breakfast was the highlight of our stay. It was prepared and served with great care, and was always more than enough to enjoy. It the weather had been hotter, the pool would have been warm enough for swimming.

Everything was good

Leonardo and his wife as hosts are truely exceptional (great conversations, delicious breakfast and tips for a real, authentic Italian experience). The property is huge, with tall trees, a big pool and plenty of space to relax.

The owners were very nice and helpful. Rooms in Trulli are small but cosy and there was everything you need. We slept very well and the area is quiet and charming. We had a great breakfast. The swimming pool was also very nice and confortable. The owners make you feel at home. The place is very central and you can easily reach all interesting places. To sleep in a trulli is also a very nice experience.

An amazing stay with wonderful hosts - Leonardo and Marina. It is unusual to find hosts so passionate about ensuring your stay is as comfortable and memorable as possible. Staying in the Trulli was fabulous - a good shower room, lounge area and bedroom decorated to a high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed the copious and delicious homemade breakfast provided by Marina - including highly tempting cakes. The pool was a great place to cool off after a day sightseeing and had lovely thick sunbed mattresses. Leonardo gave us great advice about where to park in the town and where to eat. Just super - thank you both. Nothing!

The breakfast was exceptional. Fresh fruit and juices. Very fresh and healthy choices. The location is fantastic for day trips.

We had a wonderful stay in trulli del Carmine ! Everything was perfect and we found in this place the authenticity and the calm we were looking for. Our room was decorated very tastefully as was the rest of the property with the beautiful swimming pool and the chapel. The attention to detail was everywhere, from the collection of vases to the delicious homemade breakfast cooked by Marina. Most importantly we felt like we were at home with family, Leonardo and Marina took care of us like their children everyday, we had good conversations, good food, good recommendations for places to visit, good limoncello at night and a great emotion when we had to leave Grazie Mille !! For everything We will cherish our special honeymoon stay at your place forever

What stands out the most was the kindness, generosity and hospitality of the hosts, Marina and Leonardo. They made us feel like special friends, not just paying customers. Leonardo kept us entertained with stories and is quite an accomplished guitarist and singer (though a bit shy about it!) The large king room in the original Trulli is magnificent. We stayed in an annex, off by itself. It was quite comfortable and very well sorted. It had its own outdoor space. The grounds and pool are very nice- complete with a small chapel and full of Marina’s collection of ceramics and objects of art. The breakfast is delicious and voluminous with fruit, juices, yogurt, coffee, jams, sandwiches and more. The only downside was that you had to be outside to get Wi-Fi. Not a big deal for us-

The host and the property were fantastic. We were made to feel really homely and got great recommendations on what to do in the area and surroundings. The breakfast was the best one we've had all holiday - all very fresh and you didn't leave feeling hungry. Great location, away from the business and you can truly switch off. You also have a very large swimming pool to stay cool in the heat. Would definitely come back. N/A

Trulli del Carmine is very special and will always hold a place in our heart. More than anything, our stay was made memorable by the incredible service provided by Leonardo and Marina. Their hospitality was second to none. They went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. The breakfast is a must! We HIGHLY recommend staying here during a trip to Puglia.

Where do we even begin! Everything exceeded our expectations - we were first time travellers to Puglia and didn't know what to expect. But Leonardo and Marina were the most welcoming, knowledgable, generous and entertaining hosts full of recommendations for sights and restaurants. The room we stayed in was perfect, gorgeously decorated with Marina's antiques and local art. The pool is perfect for the afternoon and they know how to start your day right with a delicious breakfast too! Nothing - we loved everything!

We were staying with Leonardo and his wife and our stay was fantastic. The owners were very friendly and forthcoming and they made our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast is fantastic and Leonardo knows so many facts about the region and nice restaurants/bistros/cafes to eat. The property is beautiful and quiet, with a pool. You will be needing a car if you want to visit the surroundings but for us this was no problem.
