- 1)No people at the reception ever ( even on the day we arrived, I informed that we arrive later, no reply, no receptionist at 8 pm; same about check out, I saw reception guy chilling at the restaurant terrace, but not the front desk) 2)No access to own beach , the receptionist (young guy who was always late, forgot about the shuttle, gave wrong information)told us it is going to be 25 euro per person at Maya beach club (this price is with discounts as we are guests of the Vista di Capri Hotel), when we were at the beach club, they changed the price and asked us to pay 50 euro per person. We just had to leave cause lady at the reception was changing price every second (80,85, 95 euros for 2 people at their empty beach club). 3)The breakfast starts at 7 am (according to their time table) but it was served at 7:30, even I informed we have to check out early and rush to the train station . The lady at the restaurant is always on the phone, really loud and always angry face. I have also noticed they do not wash dishes, only rinse them. This is just disgusting.

Amazing, adorable view. The area, it is possible to see a lot of sights in the area of 50 km. Friendly, helpful stuff. The owner did a lot to help us when we had a problem, even on Sunday. Breakfast was good, especially the fruits, melons were delicious, as well as cakes and coffee. While eating at the terrace we could marvel at the views of the bay and the isle of Capri. The room was much bigger than we expected. In general it's a bit of luxury for a reasonable price. Air conditioning broke a few times but they did their best and repaired it. Little items need fixing, some parts of the walls, shower. It is hard to get around at first, buses go when they want to. They have a Maya Beach Club downhill and can take you there for free but the club is expensive.

We loved the staff, location, room and breakfast! We would have preferred free, easy access to pool and sea til late.

I can't say that I liked very much about this hotel. There is a lovely woman at the front desk who was very helpful about getting me a taxi and booking a ferry. I didn't like so many things. First, their marketing is completely misleading. There is no shuttle to town. There is no sky bar. There really is no view because of the foliage. The cleaning methods they use to clean the room smell so strong - almost like urine. Walking back into our room was not a pleasant experience after it had been cleaned. Also, the floor was so warped that you had to push on the door really hard just to get in. There was black marks around the air conditioning unit on the ceiling that looked like mold. There were ants in our suitcases that we placed in the closet. If you wanted a taxi to town it was 50 or 60 Euros. If you took the bus, you waited forever for it to arrive because the bus schedules are not consistent. Even breakfast - which does have a beautiful view - was lacking. There is something unusual about the water that makes even a normal cup of tea taste a little like mud. It was absolutely the low point of our trip. I wish we had known that just around the corner was a hotel and spa with about the same price point that was BEAUTIFUL - Riccardo Francischiello. I tried to book there so we could leave Hotel Vista but they were booked. This property really, really needs to upgrade just about everything. I would never stay there again or recommend to anyone.

Amazing views from hotel -Were never any staff on reception. -Manager very difficult to get hold of. -Multiple problems with the rooms, from the door not locking correctly meaning we got locked in and locked out of our room, showers leaking in both rooms. Faulty air conditioning. -Be careful if your offered a free shuttle from the Maya Beach to Sorrento as when we were dropped off the driver expected a big tip and made us feel very uncomfortable. -Breakfast was very poor with very little choice and nothing gets topped up. -3 days of our 5 night stay we returned to our room and our water hadn’t been replaced. - When we checked into first room there was half drunk water and a half drunk drinks left. - Also the sky bar is only open for breakfast.

Amazing view of Capri from the hotel especially the breakfast roof top. Friendly staff and clean hotel rooms. Easy to access bus route. The shower screen wasn't working properly and neither was the shower even though we had reported it working again. The air-con wasn't that cold. Taxi costs were expensive to the hotel.

Great view of Capri and sunset, easy access to beach club where we were going for a friends birthday. The breakfast wasnt replenished when we went and ate at 9am (finishes at 10am), not many restaurants close by but we had a scooter so it was fine for us. you dont get access to beach club you must pay but its at a discounted rate. Staff at breakfast were on the phone the whole time
