The food was absolutely amazing, which made up for the other issues and allowed us to enjoy our stay. Our check-in experience started off poorly — the first room lacked hot water, proper lighting, rugs, and small towels. Fortunately, Supervisor Moreno was very helpful and moved us to a better room, though it still lacked a sofa cushion and housekeeping could have been better. attentive.

Actually, I didn’t like anything about the property because it looks old and needs lots of update. Specially, the rooms. The rooms needs upgrades, totally

Is overpriced

Don’t come. Terrible experience. Nothing. It’s like no other Intercontinental. The room has no lights, no clean towels and guest services had really poor service.

Very old for the price
-
The people services Nothing

Clean. Good position Not many catering staff spoke English and did not seek assistance from other colleagues but kept speaking Spanish rather than trying to be helpful. In the Italian restaurant the food was very poor but complaints were ignored or shrugged off.

Location is pretty good. Breakfast is well done. Pool looked ok, Horrible service. Room was super dirty with hair in bathroom and bedroom tile had slippery liquid on it I actually slipped and fell hard. Window was broken. Staff did nothing to make up for this

The included breakfast offered decent quality and value for the price point. While not exceptional, it fulfilled everyday needs. I appreciated this complimentary amenity. Additionally, the lobby area appeared freshly updated with pleasant décor. The gym and pool spaces seemed well-maintained - cleanliness and attention to detail stood out. These public facilities were definite highlights of the property. Overall my stay unfortunately did not meet expectations, especially given room quality relative to hotel pricing and compared to website photos. As an Intercontinental brand, I anticipated an elevated experience. However, furnishings seemed quite dated and cleanliness was lacking - for example, closet rails had hairs/debris and used tissues were not replaced. Additionally, considering value received, nightly rates felt overpriced. Unfortunately, we experienced significant noise disturbances from the adjoining room during our stay. This included loud music late into the night when trying to sleep, as well as an early Sunday morning neighbor phone call the next day disrupting our plans to sleep in after returning late from a wedding. We could overhear every word clearly through the walls.

My check-in experience was so dire that I ended up not staying at the hotel. When I checked in, Edwin Alvarez decided I was not the right colour for the hotel, let alone for the executive floor I had paid for. He firstly refused to acknowledge I had a booking (I had booked a week in advance and had communicated with the hotel and received responses about an early check-in). He then made me wait while he served my white friend and others. Then, when he finally realised he couldn’t make me wait any more, he refused to give me access to the executive floor - instead claiming that executive floor access really meant ‘extra amenities in the bathroom’. I paid double the price and received the same room as my friend. After nearly 2 hours of this back and forth and me asking why he was so offended by me, I decided to get a refund. I didn’t realise money had a colour, and that colour could be so offensive to check-in staff. Advice for travellers - Go to the Marriott … the staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is second to none.
