The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff allowed us to check in a little early, which was very helpful, as we had a tour to get to in the centre of Medellin. To be honest, we were ready to give it 5*s because it provided everything we needed in the area we wanted to stay, but... ... Having agreed with the reception staff that we'd pay for the room on our return later that evening, we came back (around 8pm) and the same staff told us they'd cancelled our room because we 'hadn't paid'! It was so bizarre and very stressful, given that our stuff was still in the room and we didn't know if it had been moved. Eventually they did accept our payment, but it caused a lot of unnecessary hassle and they could have been much nicer about it. (Communication was all in Spanish, as they don't speak much English, but we are proficient so no problems there)

A solid hotel in a rougher location near the Terminal Norte in Medellin, we needed to book this when our bus was too late to make a connection we had hoped to make. We were very happy to see the hotel open late (no having to wait around outside, the hotel door was actually wide open and accommodating). The rooms were certainly clean and the staff were pleasant. The room was very small, but it was alright for a single night. The shower came out of the pipe in one solid stream (like a garden hose) and the nozzle for hot water was very difficult to turn (at first we thought there was no hot water available). We had a room facing the street and there was certainly a large amount of road noise.
