Unfortunately, everything else was a major disappointment. The hallways had a constant bad smell, and the bathrooms were frequently dirty and extremely unpleasant. Hygiene standards are clearly very poor. The staff was not friendly at all and, at times, even aggressive, which made the experience uncomfortable from the start. The kitchen is very poorly equipped: there were barely any cutlery items, and the stovetops were difficult to turn on and off. On several occasions, there was a noticeable smell of gas, which felt unsafe. The atmosphere in the hostel was honestly disturbing. The hostel allows people in situations of homelessness to stay, some of whom appeared to have serious mental health issues. We witnessed people talking to themselves or to walls, intimidating stares, shouting, and violent behavior such as throwing objects on the floor. One day, the police had to intervene because a person was threatening others with a knife. This made the hostel feel completely unsafe. Additionally, food was stolen from us in the cool room. The Wi-Fi only works in the common living area and not throughout the hostel. Considering all of this, the price is extremely high for what is offered. I would not recommend this hostel to anyone. It does not feel safe, comfortable, or well managed.

I have experienced that when the receptionist is a Chinese girl, she treats customers very rudely and arrogantly, using an inappropriate tone and behavior, and treating customers unequally. I cannot understand why someone with this kind of attitude is working in a position where they are supposed to be welcoming and polite to guests.”

location 1. Sophia, the receptionist was rude, mean and horrible. Her tone was impolite. She said she can't give refund for 30/11/25 but will give a credit that valid for 1mth. However, when I called to redeem credit 48 hrs after that, she said No and rudely hung up the phone. Not only I had to pay extra money for another hostel, but I've also lost my credit $41 as I am travelling out of Melbourne the next day and do not have plan to be back within a month. This behaviour is unacceptable! 2. I had bed bugs issue from my bed in room 106 3. The doorknob for the room 106 is almost broken, needs a repair, so frustrating.

I got bed bugs first night that ate me in all covered in scabs had to throw most of my luggage in the bin because I couldn't get up stairs people stole my sneakers I couldn't sleep people were spying on me in the toilet

There was nothing that I liked about this place . Long deep flight of stairs. The room was smelled strong urine . The room was dirty with bad bugs . The fridge it's a cool room I found super unsafe and dangerous to walk in a cooler freeze room with your entire body it can cause a internal body shock on somebody . Also a person can be locked and stranded inside of the fridge . There was a presence of a crazy undercover police women annoying and pouting out her finger on my face and telling me that I was not from my home country because of my skin color that is dark . She was annoying ,intimidating with nasty attitude behaviour . There was also another two long term women's strung in the room that they intimidate you with lots of private information about your private life .

The ONLY good thing about this hostel is the inner city location. I didn't enjoy the filthy, smoky facilities - despite the property being non smoking. The ladies bathrooms were REVOLTING and VERY DIRTY and the BED BUGS in room 110 (with the dodgey door lock) were the final straw. If you have no other option stay here - but I wish I had spent my final night in Melbourne dozing at Tullamarine!

Single room with shared toilet and shower access, comfortable bed, small fridge and small desk. Very cheap for a single room.
