Little Drifter North Melbourne

As l had my to teenage kids with me Drifter was better than just a hotel room. Much more social and even a free paella. My kids said they will be back. The private 4 beds / bunk beds just needed a table and chairs as you can't sit on the beds we sat on the floor.

Great location with everything you need for an affordable stay in the city. The room was clean with such nice touches. I’ve stayed in both the queen room and 1 bedroom apartment with patio and both were lovely. Bed is very comfy as well. Will be staying every time I come to Melbourne!

This places have a really good vibes. All the staff is amazing, friendly and always with a great service The social areas are usually very dirty. Specially the bathrooms

No Noisy, bad smells, very crowded, and long waiting times for the lift. The bathroom light would suddenly turn off while showering. Not enough fridge space.

Great location and facilities. The staff were super helpful Capacity was full, so bathrooms and kitchen got a little messy

Had to leave in the middle of the night as my roommate is loud talking on her phone past bedtime. I still have remaining 4 days and 3 nights and yet they refused to refund my money.

It was spacious with separate rooms, so one didn’t feel cramped at all. Even had our own outdoor sitting area. They don’t provide any milk but do have tea/coffee facilities in a very impressive kitchenette. No bathmat and no soap in shower, I bring my own soap but others rely on the supplied stuff.

Was a very quiet space considering alot of bookings in the whole place. There were only 2 bath towels and no face washer ,,hand towel or bath mat when we arrived

Close to the city I had the private room, but it was located on the ground floor close to the reception and the common area. People were loud even past midnight. I could hear everything from my room so the soundproof was really bad. There was a backyard behind my room too so I couldn’t really sleep at all.

Can self check in The music is constantly playing and there are few places that people can go to for the quietude. I was trying to do yoga in the room that is supposed to be quiet and there was a girl sitting on a mat on her phone talking non-stop. Then she went outside and I could still hear her talking on the phone. Not very peaceful in this noisy city. Disgusting state of the bathrooms, period bins are stinky. some kind of mould on the walls in level 3 bathroom. The kitchen is ill-equipped and has half or less gas stovetops working. Often people get flamed by them. Plastic handled pots start burning with plastic fumes as the gas stovetops are large. Can't really cook comfortably or have much space to prepare food. The drains in the kitchen are often clogged with plastics or food waste. The walls look like a child runs the place.

Nice clean space, modern facilities, very easy to get around Probably could have used more of an intro, it's not great if you just want a quiet space as it's more hostel than hotel, rooms are small, and while it said there was a view, that's not correct. Very limited facilities in room, ie kettle, fridge, basic amenities etc.

Have been at little drifter for a while now! The hostel has got such a good vibe and I have Made heaps of friends here. The staff here really do the most to make their guest feel happy. Special scout out to Hal!
