Grand Hotel Menaggio

The location of the Hotel is perfect. On the water and next to the ferry stop for Menaggio. It is a little tired but that is reflected in the price

The hotel is located steps from the ferry with is a big plus ! Eating a wonderful breakfast as you are looking at the lake was amazing . The hotel was just beautiful !

Great location near the ferry, room was amazing and breakfast was top notch.

The quietness and the continental breakfast was excellent. The room we stayed in was very out-dated, the AC was so-so. We were charged an additional $300 euros to upgrade our room from street view to lake view.

The location was wonderful. The breakfast was fabulous! Views were stunning. The temperature control in the room. It got very hot in the night. This is coming from a menopausal woman. LOL!

The location was incredible. The ferry was literally outside the hotel entrance The staff at reception was not the friendliest. Restaurant staff was great. For the price we paid I feel that there was no need to pay for water in the room

Location location location well landscape, and you can tell their significant work to improve The host staff and porter was awesome! Miss you all already. Our room had construction next door and we had dirty water come out of our faucet due to construction but they fixed the situation

Great location Very noisy during the night and the hotel need some upgrades.

And we found an amazing pizza place nearby that came recommended by the staff! The bed and the pillows are terribly uncomfortable. And the noise outside goes until the middle of the night and starts up again around 7am. As disappointing as this was, I would still book here again for all of the positive reasons I listed.

The property is just OK. This is an old property which needs a refresh. Start with the carpet and upgrade the bathrooms and showers. The staff is friendly but this is a tired property which needs help.

Aremis, Incaela were spectacular! Restaurant & bar were great, breakfast was amazing. Convenience to ferry was wonderful. It was a bit warm. Our room did not have a insulated curtain to block heat & light penetration.

The location of the room was excellent and the view was absolutely beautiful. Three of the four nights we were there, we enjoyed entertainment (piano, sax, and harp) which all added to our stay. The pool is fantastic. The beds we very hard. Understanding that the building is of an older vintage, the overall room size was certainly adequate, however the bathroom is very small and cramped. We found it difficult to comfortably move within the bathroom - even as a single person let alone two at the same time. I don't know what is behind the walls, but there appears to be space between where the closet ends and the wall of the bathroom - at least 2 feet. If that could be added to the bathroom it would make a world of difference. It would have been helpful if at check-in we were told the shutters could be closed. Its very bright when the sun comes up, we only discovered that half-way thru our stay.

Beautiful property. Location was very convenient. Breakfast was excellent. Close proximity to ferry and town.

Would've been slightly more comfortable to have AC available in the room.
