Hotel Annabell

I wish I had known about bus 4 in advance because it is a very long uphill walk, especially if one has a large, heavy backpack. (Yes, I overpacked.) But, a taxi got me there easily and the rest was great. Walking from the train station would have been more doable if I had known about Sissi's path, which also provides access between the town center and the hotel area and is great without the heavy backpack.

A lovely room with a balcony overlooking the mountains. In a quiet neighborhood. Our room had loads of storage space. Susanna and her husband are very nice hosts. We enjoyed having breakfast in the garden.

Loved the quiet location up on the hillside but only minutes from the old town. Bus connection super easy. And the owners recommended 2 different restaurants for locals in their neighborhood that ranked as a couple of the best of our entire 5 week journey! Plus the owners were generally extremely helpful in making sure we enjoyed our stay at their lovely little hotel. Frankly we loved it all.

What a delicious spread, and warm welcome from the owners. I was so happy with my room, comfy and spotlessly clean, with a great view of the garden and mountains. Super stay on all levels. Special thanks to the wonderful welcome from the family owners. Nothing! I loved it.

It's very charming, decorated very nicely, sweet dining area. It's good value as it's a quiet small place, very comfortable. There is basically a small garden plot. THe ownders are helpful. THe pool is definitely indoors, so not actually outdoors. The bus goes in the wrong direction for town.

I had an exceptional 2-nt. stay at Hotel Annabell. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and hope to do so! The location is great, away from the busy city center but easily accessible by walking there or taking the bus, for which you have a free guest pass to use. The owners are wonderful and are the icing on the cake of this hotel! Such great info provided! The double room used as single was wonderful with a balcony and view of mountains and vineyards. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of food. Nice parking right outside for cars. Nothing!

Great hotel in a very nice neighborhood. Breakfast on the terrace was a great way to start a day.

This a lovely hotel run by a very friendly family. It's a pleasant walk or easy bus ride into the centre of Merano and handy for the botanical gardens too. I particularly enjoyed relaxing by the pool after a lot of walking and watching the sunset from my balcony with a glass of wine from the local winery. Nothing!

Furniture needs refurbishment.
