Hotel Zima

The host was incredibly helpful and warm, I would come back just for her. The breakfast was delicious and varied (the staff there also very helpful and polite). The jacuzzi was a well-deserved relaxation opportunity. Good location if you want to visit both the city and the gardens, as the hotel is within walking distance of both. Minor deduction from comfort because the city had only recently turned on the heating, so it was a bit cold in the building. We travelled beginning of October.

The hotel is located at a quiet part of Merano, close to Trauttmansdorff botanical garden (obligatory place for a visit in my opinion) and about 15 minutes walk or 4 bus stops from the town center. The parking, while seemed small at the photos, fits all guests' cars just right. Our room, while basic, was spotless clean. The breakfast was very good, even if slightly repeating. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Note that hotels in Merano offer public transport tickets for guests; this allowed us to not use a car at all during our stay. Also, Zima is associated with Merano Thermes and one can get a Thermes ticket at the hotel with 10% discount. Everything was ok.

Very clean and well organized. Christa is very engaged in ensuring all her guests are well taken care of. Adjacent bus stop is very convenient. Everything was perfect!

Very lovely place in the middle of the montains.

Great location. 15 minute walk into town or an easy bus service. Breakfast was beautifully homemade and had lots of options. Hotel was very clean and tidy. The staff were exceptional which made the stay very enjoyable.

Amazing, welcoming host, great staff, excellent breakfast. Nice room. Only 1 km from city center. Has private parking. Definitely recommend!

Fabulous place in lovely area of Meran. Very welcoming staff who readily cater to guests wishes including tired cyclists like myself. Would visit again!

Lovely hotel on a beautiful spot. It stole my heart. Just like Merano it is a magic place to be. Especcialy when you a a nature lover. Wonderfull trees flowers and birds are all over. Owner and staff are realy nice people. Breakfast I must say 5 stars! Get back next year for sure. It should be kept a secret. Tell no one. Keep it to yourself.

Great buffet breakfast, room size was very good and clean. Great location within walking distance from center. We also had free parking in front of the hotel.

I enjoyed the peaceful and privat location. Being able to use the pool was great and rest/read outside around it. It’s easy to get into town with the #4 bus which stopped 2 min. Walk before Zima. Breakfast was fantastic with high quality of food. Can’t wait to come again. The pool was very cool. So I did not use it except once. Days were very warm but it did cool of at night so I think that’s why the water never really warmed up.
