The location is very convenient. The breakfast is not elaborate but good quality. The kitchen staff person is excellent and is very attentive to requests from guests. The room was maintained in an exceptionally clean state by the same staff person. The one major problem is the insanely small shower. It is very difficult even for a normal sized person to take a decent shower. The water flow is fine, but it is impossible to even soap yourself without banging your elbows on the walls and doors.

A big room. On arrival I was informed that the hotel did not have two rooms with two single beds as booked and confirmed, I was then informed that they had a room with two double beds but at an extra price of twenty euros, then the staff were buying beer from the market at the rear of the hotel,then selling them to us at inflated prices will not be back.

Wow! What a gem of a last-minute find when my elderly father and I needed to leave a cruise ship for a family member to enter the local hospital. It was clean, affordable, quiet, and in the heart of Messina -- close to everything. The concierges and staff members were incredibly nice, helpful, and accommodating during a very stressful and unplanned stay in Messina for many days. They called us taxis multiple times a day, helped with printing and faxing documents, and gave good local recommendations. Also, they had one of the best continental breakfasts I've had at any hotel or B&B. They had a variety of options: fresh squeezed juices, fresh pastries and danishes, freshly baked bread, fresh fruit, yogurt, nuts, granola, oats, white and brown hard boiled eggs, cake, and delicious coffee/espresso. Cannot recommend enough! You will not be disappointed. Great value to boot! I did not like that we didn't have a longer stay in Messina and that we mostly only visited the hospital; zero complaints about or issues with the B&B itself.

Property was central to the main shopping street. Rooms were very dark and quite dated, definitely needs a renovation. The walkways of the hotel are also very un inviting. They are dark and quite spooky.
