B&B Joffre

The best thing about this property is it's proximity to the ferry terminal. Our room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful with parking and places to eat. The building this property is in is old and a bit rundown compared to the other great places we stayed at in Sicily. Messina itself turned out to be a pleasant surprise from what we expected. The old town center is very beautiful.

The place was clean, and the location offered a beautiful sea view. The owner was kind and helpful.

Clean and comfortable. Ocean view. Friendly, helpful staff. Restaurant and taxi stand across the street. Not many restaurant options in the area. There was one across the street, which was fine for our one-night stay. But for extended stays you would need to take a cab for more restaurant options.

The room was big and clean. The owner was really nice. Unfortunetly I had the room right next to the main door, so I could hear everytime someone came in or went out or just talked. The bed was not that comfortable and would make really loud noises everytime I changed position.

The host was very pleasant. Shortly after checking in, we asked for another set of towels and the host was quick to return to provide towels. Once inside the accommodations, it was nice and clean. The little common area had tables and a vending machine to get hot & cold drinks and snacks. There was also some other amenities like a microwave and hot plate for the guests to use. The location took me by surprise. While the accommodations were nice and clean inside, the building is an older building among other older buildings and it is not appealing to the eye. However, once we got our bearings of the location, we made the best of our coming and going around the neighborhood during our stay. There is no on street parking so it isn’t convenient to have a car. Public transportation is available right outside the building.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. Rooms were beautiful and clean. The area was not the best, but there was a lot of access to transportation. The showers only had hot water for one day out of 5. We did have someone come to fix it, but they still did not work. The breakfast is a vending machine where you pay for snacks and drinks.

The location was bad, right across from ferries. Lots of traffic, smells bad, dog crap all over the streets. We were on a 3rd floor and there was a giant hole in the railing of the balcony, very scary with a 19 month old roaming around. Parking was blocks away and you were limited as to what hours you can leave and come back.

Good location if you want to travel to Reggio Calabria and torro farro The mettress was to hard and I didn’t even saw a staff during our stay just on arrival
