Alojamientos México Lindo

The beds at Mexico Lindo are the most comfortable we slept in in our 5 weeks in Mexico. For perspective, we were mostly staying at hostels and homestays where the mattresses usually felt like the springs would reach through and kill you! The beds were like sleeping on a firm but supportive cloud. The room was a great temperature at night and there was water to refill bottles available. The terrace was also lovely, although not for the views rather for the tranquility. Noise from the street and the way the building is constructed meant a lot of noise got in at night. It was nothing crazy but still went on until ~2-3am on the weekend, just worth noting and it's obviously nothing to do with the host or accommodation. It's true it's a bit out of the city, more towards the airport (MEX). You can take a metro which stops about a ~20 minute walk away, eat some of the best suadero tacos from a stand along the way that comes out at night, or there are also options to take a bus or colectivo for 6-10 pesos to the end of the street and only walk ~2 minutes.

Location was great - 10-15 mins via cab from the airport door to door. Staff was super friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Street is well-lit and safe with a few restaurant options nearby. Not their fault, but I missed the part in the description about a shared bathroom. Room was hot but there is a fun was that helped a bit. Also opened the window but at times was a sewage smell from the outside and obviously more noise that way.

The beds in our room were incredibly comfortable (room 122 I believe), probably the best mattresses on our trip so far through Mexico, for context we had been staying in mostly hostels and budget hotels. The hosts were kind and helpful, the water refills were always available and a refrigerator was available to store any food. Wifi was strong and connected in the room. The terrace was nice to enjoy the cool air at night :) the decoration and attention to detail especially with cleaning was really appreciated. There was hot water in the shower at all times. Lovely stay and conveniently located quite close to the airport! About a 20 minute walk to the nearest metro station and there are colectivos at the metro that can bring you closer to the accommodation as well if needed. Families are also welcome here :) Not necessarily a dislike, just something for guests to be aware of: this accommodation, like many of Mexico's houses, has relatively thin concrete walls and single pane windows. Sound carries up and through the street. We found it entirely tolerable with earplugs and even extended our stay since the beds were so comfy! The photos of the kitchen available is a bit deceptive. For the triple room only the tiny kitchenette with 2 gas burners hidden under the staircase was available, and ran out of gas on our last morning there. Based on photos, we had assumed we would have access to a larger kitchen area but this wasn't the case and it seemed the larger kitchen(s) are for family/quadruple rooms only. If the other triple room is fully occupied it can be a bit difficult to get into the shower/toilet in the mornings or evenings since both the toilet and shower are in the same room. There was another toilet/shower downstairs where the refrigerator/tea area was, but theoretically that is also shared between 3 other rooms. It was never a major issue for us.

Perfect spot for an after flight stay and more our flight was delayed and we didn’t arrive until almost 3:00am and the staff communicated with us very well via WhatsApp and met us at the door and showed us the room. The property is pretty also! And the staff were all super nice and helpful!
